No I just think history tells us Europe predominantly likes to stay out of wars in the Pacific region of the world unless it was their territories which there isn't much of today. I wouldn't have a lot of confidence in their help. For starters they don't have much of a Navy to get troops and equipment to the war zones. Let's face it NATO is first and foremost all about Europe. Logistics alone make it difficult for them to do much in a large scale conflict between the US and China in the Pacific. If China stayed away from our coast, Hawaii and NATO's indo-pacific partners its doubtful NATO would do anything much at all. Consider a bit of history. In 1964, when North Vietnamese torpedo boats allegedly attacked U.S. Navy destroyers, and in 1982, when Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands and was at war with the United Kingdom, Article 5 did not apply. Article 5 applies only when members of NATO are attacked within the NATO guideline areas of North America and Europe. Don't think that would apply to some bases in the pacific or if we came to the aid of Taiwan. Doesn't mean they wouldn't either but Macron indicated some direction at least France would be regarding conflict between China and the US over Taiwan. They would stay out of it.
