Talk about a year full of injuries.  Tomac just ruptured his achilles in Denver.  Sexton probably just got handed the championship.  Worse may be the fact that this may end Tomac's career.   That's going to be a long recovery.

My boy Roczen has had a good year, and Sexton has ridden great as well.  But yeah, a ton of injuries this year.  The speculation is whether Tomac comes back or just calls it quits.  Was bummed about Barcia too. Got to ride practice with him at Binghamton about 15 years ago before he went pro.  Friggin guy just never lets off.

I wonder if this type of thing will become more common place in the future.

The riding style has changed, guys ride with there toes on the pegs now to make them react on the bike better.

Landing off these big G-outs puts major strain on the ankles and tendons.

Hopefully it's not a trend.

Yeah the slo mo on that was hard to watch.  Tomac was such a machine you rarely saw him make mistakes like that, and still, at that level those guys make some saves that would have had me splat back when I was racing.

There's a closeup pic on VitalMX of his Alpinestar leftside boot...The straps loosened up just before the incident...

Probably. Look at sno cross this year. They had to change how they ran the pro class because they were running out of riders towards the end of the season due to injuries.
