the thing trumps got going for him is a lot of his supporters are incapable of critical thought so they will be lined right up behind him cheer leading these actions so he will just claim any opposition as #fakenews

I think you would be surprised.   The right is not nearly the war mongers they once were.

Maybe the cognitive dissonance will be too great this time?

I don't see the kind of shit we saw around Bush's illegal war yet.

YET.

This.

Some people are capable of learning from our past mistakes.   There is a lot of reasons Trump won over working class American's and a anti war stance was one of them.  Its their children going to war, not Barron Trump.

There is no winning rather helping or attacking Muslims.   NO WINNING.

And Saddam killed 100x's more women and children than Assad.  Make no mistake the lefts love of this move is more anti Russia for their perception of Hillary's loss than doing it to protect women and children.

Please stop calling them, the 'left'. They're neoliberals, or just liberals if you wish.

I call them what they call themselves.   Sorry moto but Antifa and Communists are not "the left."    They're Communists.

Yeah...you corrected me on that a while back.  It makes sense. "Librulizm" is it's own religion distorting and destroying the Dem party. "Intellectually elite". :wall:

Don't call them what they call themselves, they're trying to reframe their actual ideology.

Democratic socialists, anarchists, and Communists are all leftists. Liberals are not any of those things.

All liberals fall in the authoritarian neoliberal quadrant. All true leftists fall in the libertarian collectivist quadrant.

yep, so highmark's remarks about many trump supporters being against this is bullshit.

I sometimes forget that what you liberals see on TV is reality for you....as long as you like what you are seeing.

I don't equate it to a certain demographic.  More a mentality.  Like I said, "religion".

I've said all along the true definition of a NeoCon is one of worldwide military presence (force our form of peace and govt on people) and a somewhat to very liberal economic policy at home.   JFK, LBJ were the poster presidents of the movement.  LBJ more so than JFK because at least he believed in reasonable taxes.

I've never agree with the common labeling of some Republicans as Neocon's as their economic policy doesn't match it.

Huh?  Sure but support of capitalism at home does not make one economically a neocon.
