Climate Change vs Three Gorges Dam

Recommended Posts

Gotta laugh at the hype of climate change and how the climate change activists are all about how climate change effects the world.  I bet very few of them understand that impact that the Three Gorges Dam had on the world.

In 2005, NASA scientists calculated that the shift of water mass stored by the dams would increase the total length of the Earth's day by 0.06 microseconds and make the Earth slightly more round in the middle and flat on the poles.

Nope….nobody know about or understands any of that…thanks for letting the world know Paul Harvey!!👍🏼

Since you are the expert how does this dam affect climate and what would emissions be if it were replaced by conventional coal fired power plants? 🤷🏻

Didn't you just act as though you were an expert, then asked a question?  FFS, if you know, then why not put it in writing?

You all crack me up. Everything we do to generate energy has a trade off as to how it negatively affects the planet. The battle so to speak is which one affects it the least. From having to look at a forest of gigantic windmills and fields of solar panels, to mines of coal and lithium, to nuke plants and radioactive waste and dams that redirect water and change the landscape, who's to say long term which ones better than the other. The only thing that's ever going to "save" this planet is if we all leave it in one form or another.

Energy density is the name of the game and nuclear is by far and away the best.  I was merely pointing out the differences and what drives the climate change types.   Most don't realize that cheap energy is what makes the middle class in this country what it is.  And the very people who being led around about climate change were never concerned about the Three Gorges Dam, because that doesn't have the desired effect wanted by American and European Elites.
