They might catch a few amateurs. The majority of the cars taken are by pros. They can easily jam a gps or scan a car for a hidden unit. There’s some newer systems that rely on a low signal strength sent in bursts that are harder to detect. But once the car is in a shipping container there’s no signal regardless the system. I question how effective these stings really are.

You idiot the vast majority of cars are joy rides . Henc why certain cars over the yrs are top pics . Because they are ez to boost . High end cars needing computers to start and ignition bypass equipment yep pros . Non fob Kia point A to point B and wipe the wheel and shifter on the way out .

Lol oh yes 5300 Kia and Hyundai as of Sept.  Ah to much money to set up some bait cars and catch some of them  they are only Korean cars any way . 

5300 as of Sept  in just 1 city of them not a big deal just normal stuff  no reason to look twice
