Depending on the market you can literally get killed. I couldn't give a boat away in the early 90s. They are the worst investments.................no they are not investments they are a gamble. I could easily lose 100k on that boat. The operation costs for something like that are insane. Believe it or not when I had my 25" Checkmate in Newburyport, somebody at my marina saw me running out of the river and said " they were impressed ". Yeah, I like the 47', but it's way too much hassle for me now, any way I look at it. However, I found a standard horsepower 35' in NEW YORK that is manageable for me. I believe my Sierra could even tow it, but I have to check that out. That IS something I could and would undertake. I'm gonna' look into that one. Not sayin' I'll do it, but just exploring. I heard that boat slips have a two-year wait list!! I have to check what's available in NEWBURYPORT Area. I really don't want to trailer a 35' boat.
