That’s more or less what we have now ya damn fool. Otherwise why wouldn’t these vehicles be driving through the open border elsewhere?

Because they cant...duh.

Instead of wasting money on this fucking wall how about increasing manpower at the legal points of entry.

exactly. border patrol will have to monitor the border regardless of what is there. if it's a wall, people climb over and tunnel over. if it's a fence, they'll cut through. there is no magic barrier that will stop everything. therefore you might as well put your funds towards more patrols, more monitoring, fence, etc.

here's an analogy for you jtssrx, try to follow along...

you have a mansion in a bad area, people are constantly trying to break in. you have a barbed wire fence, some security cameras,  and sensors. every now and then someone gets in and steals your tampon supply out of the shed. now, would putting a very expensive wall up prevent any of this? or would you have to still use the security cameras, sensors, etc.?

the answer is yes to the last question. because people could figure out how to get in. they'd climb over, or tunnel under, of break through the wall. therefore, the expensive wall is a waste of funds, and you'b be better off investing in more cameras, sensors, etc.

Lets say you put 20 border guards every 50 miles along the border. No wall

Every point along the border is an easy point of entry. Take 40 caravans of 50 people crossing at the mid point of every station point.

It will take 1/2 an hour for border security to get there. Looks like there is going to be some successful groups due to unfettered access.

Same scenario now with some sort of border barrier. Inherently there will be areas that will be easier to breach and some that are harder.

Say it takes 5 minutes per person to breach said border barrier or 20 min to cut through. now with the 1/2 hour response time of border security, are they in a better situation with the wall or with out?

The false flag argument of the wall and nothing else is fucking retarted. Drones and more personnel without some sort of physical barrier will do nothing.

If the wall is too expensive with a one time 5B cost, how much will expanded drone and personnel costs be ( with no wall both would have to be significantly grown from what they would be with a wall) year over year?  Guaranteed the wall is the cheaper option long term. Why has this cost not been discussed yet? Everyone just glossed over it like it doesn't matter. Weird

BTW just because you bumbled around the desert for a few days  eating and getting a sunburn doesn't make you an expert on border security.

Well first of all this 5 Billion dollar wall is going to cost god knows how many times that amount so just spend the money on manpower to work the legal checkpoints...infinitely cheaper and more effective.

again that would be fine until the next set of dems get in and cut border funding .

So who is going to man and patrol this magic wall if they cut border funding? If you are going to operate from this position then why do anything at all about anything in this country?

again you need less man power to control someplace with a barrier of some sort as apposed to a open cotton field  .  never been to a border town ? why dont they have us side check points out side of them like they do in places like yuma where there is no wall in the aria ?

again do you not think the proto builders gave a per foot price of there model ?

there were like 6 company's who built diff styles . I would bet at least 6 could give a per foot cost and all 6 could give a per inch cost as well as a per mile cost . I would guess the bid paper work is ready to file today  if need be
