It's a little more powerful than the .223 round that most AR-15's shoot. A 22 magnum is a small rimfire round. Nice flat shooting caliber . I shot many Deer with the 22-250, always 1 shot 1 kill..my 7mm mag was definitely over kill, I always liked a 270 best for around here.

A 50gr bullet is never going to be a good selection on deer size game. Shot placement becomes critical.
f7ben
A .243 is superior in every way to a 22-250 unless you are varmint hunting or punching paper at 700 yds

I bought three guns from a Sawyer County Deputy Sheriff and that was 1 of them, it was $200, came with a different scope than what I have on it now, the other 2 firearms were a 20 Gauge shotgun for $50 and a Remington 30-06 semi auto for $300, it had only been shot 3 times, I sold that to my son in law. For dear a .243 is a better choice. A crow at 300 yards the 22-250 would be the better choice. That doesn't make the .243 a superior round.

I might just use my .22, but yotes are hard to kill. I could use my: .222 Remington .257 Roberts 30:06 12 gauge with Carlson Super Turkey choke Almost all cartridges are the same. The manufacturers come out with new calibers and everybody HAS TO HAVE ONE!! The 6.5 Creedmore comes to mind. Everybody thinks it's the cat's ass. The 22/250 is just as good, and it's been around for many, many years. 264 Win MAg is a fukken cannon, but not popular anymore. 270 Win is a flat shooting bastid also. 243 is a flat-shooter, been around forever. This is literally the dumbest fucking post I think I have ever read here. Good god what a fucking moron. The same with a .308, 30:06, they are very close ballistically. Obviously, I'm talking the SAME CALIBER CLASS being similar, you fukken queer. The creedmoor has more energy at 500 yards than the 250 does out the muzzle. The creedmoor will shoot accurately 700+ yds further than the 250 as well. Also the 224 valkyrie does everything the 250 will do and will fire a 90g bullet as well making it a truly viable medium game round.
