:bullshit: Take off the carbon taxes that are specific to Vancouver and BC and its probably not the most expensive in North America you clown, their carbon taxes are a joke :finger2:

The same people blocking the pipeline are the same ones who want the tax.   Perpetuating their own issues.

It’s has more to do with demand exceeding supply and the fact they’re blocking the Trans Mountain pipeline

Sorry to spoil your narrative

The carbon tax bumped up April 1st, so it is part of their increased prices, but so is increased crude and also a constraint in refined supply coming up from the US.  Trans mountain has SFA to do with it at this point.  Even if BC weren't trying to hold it up, it wouldn't be completed for a couple of years.  However, it is giving BC's lower mainland a taste of whats to come if they don't build transmountain.

Right.  My point was that by building the pipeline, they’d increase their supply and not be so dependent on the US refineries.

Wonder how many are driving the few miles and crossing the border to fill up in Blaine USA?

I'm sure many are. Yrs ago there was a little gas station in Norton VT . A small town of about 200 folks right on the border. They used to pump 50,000 gallons a week and sell case upon case of cigarettes . Then the liberals in VT got greedy and upped the cig tax . With the increased price it was no longer worth it for Canucks to cross anymore. Great move.

Vancouver is 45 cents per litre

Victoria is 39 cents per litre

Ontario is 28 cents per litre

Alberta is 32 cents per litre

The cost of GASOLINE is more expensive for BC for many reasons

Explain how Alberta has cheaper gas yet charge more tax than Ontario :dunno:

Not sure on this, but if I recall many years back oil was not a commodity item..when I was a teenager.

That was before the automobile was invented...
