  1. The pound has taken a hit, but that will help their exports. Good companies will continue to do well regardless. The Footsie just hit a 14 month high.
  2. Like Fail, he thinks if he is present at work, it somehow counts.
  3. You are Fail in waiting. There are no excuses for the Cons or Fibs, just the state of the economy. Federally we are doing quite well in Canada even with low priced eggs in one basket oil, Ontario not so much. Well give it a few more years and we will be over the $trillion debt level soon enough.
  4. Just don't know what to tell if you can't see the forest from the trees. There was no way regardless of who was PM that Canada was not going into a recession in 2009 when the global economy sank. Canada did manage better than most other G8 countries and today it still stands in a better position. That is until Trudope will again dig us deeper and deeper in debt when there is no recession. Take a look at Ontario for a complete waste of a government. Do you even know what percentage of Canada's economy is Oil and Gas? Or do you just re-iterate soundbites from Mulcair?
  5. Do you like the 'yute' look? You are not going to do 53mph on trails regardless of what you own.
  6. Sunny ways people, sunny ways. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/economy/jobs/canadas-july-employment-figures/article31286881/ Employers eliminated 71,400 full-time positions, the second consecutive month of full-time declines, but 40,200 part-time jobs were created. Meanwhile, the participation rate fell to its lowest level since late 1999, as more people either stopped actively searching for work or stopped working altogether. Over the first seven months of the year, employers created 12,400 positions, representing the weakest job creation since the Great Recession. “Job growth has slowed to near post-crisis lows,” David Watt, chief economist with HSBC Bank Canada, said in a note. “Job growth remains weak.” Although the number of hours worked rose slightly, growth in wages slowed, suggesting demand for labour has weakened. “The annual trend in employment and hours worked is commensurate with an economy that continues to face headwinds,” said Nick Exarhos, an economist with CIBC World Markets. Employment among younger workers fell by 28,000 positions and the services-producing sector took a hit. The natural resources sector has lost the most positions over the past 12 months. Weak oil prices have pummelled the energy sector, with Alberta bearing the brunt of the losses. The resource-dependent province was already suffering from weak oil prices before wildfires destroyed parts of Fort McMurray. Although Alberta shed only 1,400 positions last month, over the year, full-time work declined by 5.4 per cent. The province’s jobless rate shot up to 8.6 per cent, the highest level in more than two decades. Ontario, the country’s most populous province, saw 36,100 positions vanish in July with losses in educational services, public administration, construction, finance, insurance and real estate. Across the country, the public sector shed 42,000 positions, with about half the losses due to a drop in public administration employment at the municipal and regional level. Some economists speculated that the decline was due to the 2016 census, which was conducted earlier this year and boosted hiring. But Statscan said that was not the case. “The occupations related to census in federal public admin did not drive the decline,” said Andrew Fields, labour analyst with Statscan.
  7. Almost none. Most were in ontario in the public sector. So much for hudak and his 100k job cuts. Lol.
  8. I am sure that is the case. Watch some youtube vids Dave where they go toe to toe with the rest.
  9. I only posted the links (specs) to show how the non-partisan ratings (landscape) is changing, was not comparing HP. The CFMoto's are rated quite well in the sxs class compared to the rest. They are good machines and hold up well and great value today. We ride with the RZR's and Can-Am's and there is absolutely nothing they can do that these can't. The main negative is lack of dealer support and poor re-sale, however that is not an issue for me.
  10. Dave, These things have come a longs ways since the junk that used to come out of China. Plus it made a great birthday gift for a 14 year old. I chuckle at the brand loyalty chaps. http://www.atv.com/specs/cfmoto/sport-utv/2016/zforce/800-eps.html http://www.atv.com/specs/can-am/sport-utv/2016/maverick/1000r-x-mr.html
  11. You need to look at them both and ride them both. That is what I did, then you will. I also have a Suzuki King quad, the ride does not compare to the CFMoto quad.
  12. When I bought it was 12k vs 18k. The RZR does zero more for me where I ride.
  13. I don't know, but I could ask. Like I said I'm quite happy with it, still like the RZR look better but I don't think they are built any better. My 2 cents.
  14. True, my dealer is 10 mins from me and looks after all my power sports. It's the only reason I bought a CFMoto and I have been more than satisfied. He is their number one dealer in Canada. Also their quads are quite nice as well.
  15. They are solid machines but many dealers are crap. If you wanted to become a dealer you would want poo.
  16. Seems like Momo has a number of chaps bent all out of shape here.
  17. You mean taxpayer funded vacations.
  18. I have a CFMoto 800 as well and it's been flawless. Got it with a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty and it's about half way through zero issues. Dealer support is key.
  19. It's a breath of fresh air and don't worry those jobs losses will balance themselves.
  20. They could work if drivers can co-ordinate group rides, but many can't. Sure if you have a zero responsibility 9-5 job that never demands more, I guess you can always come and go at the same time every day.
  21. Dems/Liberals own the deadbeat vote. Always have always will.
  22. Yes it is. Its pretty good here now. Hope it remains.
