  1. I watched the SuperBowl and really didn’t notice pay much attention to the Anthems. Honestly couldn’t even tell you who sang them.
  2. I think Cali is 55 for commercial vehicle. Washington, Oregon are 65. My state is 70
  3. Not sure what regs you may be referring of but if it is keeping them out of the left lane I’m all for it. Should be a $10,000 park it until it’s paid ticket for left lane use
  4. Are they valuing all the slave labor that comes in from Mexico to come up with that total? If not the deficit with Mexico is much larger cause what ever these immigrants make in money gets sent out of country making that deficit with Mexico much much larger.
  5. Our keystone pipeline in the US may just have to reverse flow from the Gulf of Mexico just to feed the upper Great Plains and Mid West refineries as Canada sends it oil global. Would put a strain on prices as well down south in Texas and the Gulf of Mexico region if the upper middle of the country doesn’t have enough oil to keep its refineries going. I think the days of cheaper oil and prices in the middle of the country compared to the coast regions will shrink due to Canada’s building of that pipeline.
  6. This was the article I was reading on Canada oil producers. They have only had one market and one place for their oil to go. Canadian crude prices went up on the news that they are filling the TMX soon. Canada will finally be able to become a player in the global market. its why you are seeing comments above with people are saying they are seeing 40-50 cent increases in a week. Increase in pipeline capacity in Canada is why prices are currently going up. https://www.overdriveonline.com/business/article/15663608/us-diesel-to-rise-on-canadas-trans-mountain-pipeline-expansion Truckers' days of finding relatively cheap diesel fuel in the Midwest may be numbered, as a $22 billion "catastrophic boondoggle" of a pipeline expansion north of the border threatens to end the U.S. stranglehold on cheap crude oil from the Canadian province of Alberta. The inland province produces a lot of heavy crude, the kind that's used to make diesel fuel. Since the 1950s, the Trans Mountain pipeline has shipped that south. Over the last few decades, the U.S. has become increasingly reliant on Canadian crude exports from the pipeline. "Currently, nearly all the oil produced in Western Canada goes to one market, the United States Midwest," the Trans Mountain website reads. "However, there’s a limit to how much oil this market needs. For much of the last decade, Canada has been selling into the United States at a discount to the world price for similar oil products." This discount reaches as much as 23 cents/gal. in the Great Lakes and 41 cents/gal. in the Great Plains region, according to Tracy Shuchart, global energy and materials strategist at Hedge Fund Telemetry Geopolitics. Any big boost in U.S. diesel prices across the country's midsection could be especially painful. Typically, the Midwest represents one of the cheaper diesel markets, often bested only by the Gulf Coast region in the Energy Information Administration's weekly oil and fuel price reports.
  7. That big Canadian pipeline to the west coast is going to raise fuel prices for the US and Canada as US refineries use to be able to get Canadian crude at a discount cause it had no where to go but US. Now Canada oil producers can send it to China and other global markets that will pay more for it. Article I was reading on it was very interesting and expansion of pipelines don’t always lead to decrease in prices
  8. Looks like economies are ripping good and use all the diesel. https://oilprice.com/Energy/Gas-Prices/Diesel-Prices-Set-to-Surge-in-2024.html
  9. Depends on honesty of how much is claimed as business and pleasure as only the business part is deductible. Combining pleasure and not claiming that is a cheat which is the type of stuff that hopefully the IRS is finding and catching. Trump pays almost nothing in taxes based on his return. FYI I’m all for Trump paying zero but I think everybody should have the same abilities in the tax code as business do
  10. Deducting a lavish lifestyle for private jet flights. Average Joe non business owner can’t deduct commercial carrier flights
  11. https://www.jet-bed.com/are-private-jets-tax-deductible/#:~:text=Under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act%2C private jet owners, complexities of 100 percent expensing.
  12. Let me guess…. You are “against” IRS collecting $560 billion from wealthy tax cheats and having IRS a bunch agents to make sure people pay their taxes.
  13. How are “they” “paying” people to buy them? I think ultimately you mean people get to keep more of their own if they buy certain ones.
  14. Sometimes peoples beliefs conflict with their beliefs. Interesting to watch.
  15. Many here root for/against people getting to keep more of their own tax dollars…. Lots and lots of republicans don’t like some keeping more of their own tax dollars and would rather the IRS keep more of peoples money.
  16. Wasn’t some claiming or pushing the narrative that Putin was dead or dying of cancer, heart attack or something like last year.

Biden has order the bombings in 3 middle eastern countries in the last 24 hours. This isn’t going to end well for the US
  18. Egypt may want to handle the business in the Red Sea cause there income is suffering bigly…. Or just have the US and the Biden admin spend gobs handling the business

I don’t think we necessarily look weak…. More like stupid. According to a report by the Washington-headquartered Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, of the 46 active conflicts around the world, the US provided arms to one or more parties for 34 of them. That was almost three out of four conflicts! Now, if we pair all that with the anti-China narrative from Washington, you would have to conclude that Beijing is spreading authoritarianism through producing goods and building infrastructure while America is promoting freedom and democracy by bombing and selling weapons around the world.

China would like the world to believe they are making a play on Taiwan cause they make gobs of of countries buying into that.

China smart in this WW…. Staying pretty neutral and selling to both sides. Globally they are likely more licked the the US is globally

I would be really suprised if they have the capability to get any of our military hardware air borne and keep it airborne. And honestly I don’t see the pullout as a disgrace cause Trump laid the groundwork and is the pres that got us out of there. Biden gets no credit for getting us out of wars and is doing his best to get us in more.

We are in the beginnings of a WW. You see all the bombing we have been doing. Us weapons have likely the highest kill count of anybody in world.

Let see…. Ukraine, Israel, Iran, Russia, the Red Sea, troops dying, relentless bombings by US, and invasion into the US….. we are just in the beginnings of one that The Biden admin has been ramping up.
