  1. I heard the snow flap was 1/32 of an inch too short.
  2. Nope, what position you finish is the number of points you get. Overall winner is the lowest total points. Tie decided on the lowest points awarded in the last round. What's nice about the triple crown is you can't finish back of the pack in the heats and then rip one hole shot and win the final.
  3. Cherish this one Cat faithful.
  4. It's been awhile since Alex has torn the top end off a Cat that wasn't his own. Think he remembers how? Hopefully Krom is there to lend a hand.
  5. Yurk was behind 2 points and won by 2 points in the last round. Tie goes to the rider placed higher in round 3.
  6. Wait until next year when all those people ignore the recall and didn't ride this year so they have two year old fuel.
  7. Last spring I took my team at work out to a Twins game for one of the guys retirements. Nice spring day with good seats and company paid beers, only way to watch a baseball game! This beat the cake and coffee reception most do.
  8. Might as well just buy the tools because you can't get to the helix or spring without them. I like being able to service the primary without needing a special holder and tool to break free the spyder to change the rollers. On my Cat it was more practical to just buy a new clutch.
  9. @f7ben you will like this one. Guy is handcuffed in the back of a squad car, acorn falls on the car from a tree. Cop thinks he is getting shot at and does a few barrel rolls on the ground before emptying a mag on an unarmed, cuffed suspect in the back of his car. Also claims "I've been hit" even though the suspect didn't even have a gun, much less shoot one. Both cops missed every single shot and the guy in the back of the squad was unhurt. OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Marquis Jackson recently shared, publicly, the story of what might have been the scariest day of his life. Man suffers life-threatening injuries after shooting Sunday night: Mobile Police The search for a vehicle It all began at 8:42 a.m. on Nov. 12, 2023, on McLaren Circle, when the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a vehicle driving around honking its horn, disrupting the peace since 3 a.m. A woman then called the sheriff’s office, accusing Jackson, 22, of taking a vehicle and sending threats via text message and phone calls. According to the sheriff’s office, Jackson arrived at the scene around 9:09 a.m.; he was detained, searched, handcuffed and placed in the rear of Deputy Jesse Hernandez’s patrol vehicle. The woman then completed an affidavit for a stolen vehicle. She told deputies Jackson had a silencer, but she wasn’t sure where it was, and that he had more than one weapon. INCIDENT LOCATION: 2 men arrested in counterfeit currency scheme at Foley Tanger Outlets: Police ‘Shots fired! Shots fired! Shots fired!’ When Hernandez was returning with a Victim’s Rights form for the woman, other deputies had communicated they found her vehicle, according to the news release. Hernandez then approached the passenger side rear door of his patrol vehicle to do a secondary search of Jackson when he heard a pop sound, which he thought was a gunshot, and believed he had been hit, according to an OCSO news release. Hernandez yelled “shots fired” multiple times, fell to the ground, rolled and began firing in the patrol car, according to body camera footage of the incident. Sgt. Beth Roberts then began firing into the vehicle in response to the perceived threat after she saw Hernandez’s response, reaction, and fear for his life. Jackson escaped injury, and no weapon was located, the OCSO said. Witnesses said they heard what they thought could have been a muffled gunshot, according to an OCSO news release. Three News 5 reporters listened to the body camera footage and did not hear the sound described. Hernandez, who had been with OCSO since January 2022, resigned on Dec. 4, 2023, according to the OCSO. Roberts has been with OCSO since May 2008. Both were current on resistance training and firearms qualifications, according to the sheriff’s office. Daphne Police, Fire crews working I-10 vehicle collision The internal investigation The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Professional Standards conducted an internal investigation and determined Hernandez’s use of force was not objectively reasonable, according to an OCSO news release. Hernandez violated policy regarding excessive use of control to resistance, the release said. The investigation determined that Roberts’ use of deadly force was objectively reasonable, and she was exonerated, according to OCSO. The OCSO Criminal Investigations Division reviewed the incident after initial investigation for any possible criminal charges. The sheriff’s office also reportedly requested an independent review by the 1st Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office. Ultimately, no probable cause for criminal charges was found. WKRG News 5 requested the body camera footage from this incident on Feb. 7; the OCSO released the footage (seen above) today. Daphne Police, Fire crews working I-10 vehicle collision ‘All I could depend on was God’ In a public Facebook post, Jackson recalled the day he could have died. Specifically, he wrote, being handcuffed and placed in the backseat of Hernandez’s vehicle, and what shortly followed. “A few moments later I hear an officer scream ‘I’m hit, he’s armed’!” Jackson said in the post. “As soon as that was announced multiple shots were fired at me while I was stuck in the backseat. All I could do was lean over and play dead to prevent getting shot in the head.” Jackson said he was “scared to death and I knew all I could depend on was God! I ignored everything and prayed! Windows were shattering on me the whole time as bullets continued flying across me.” He said he was blessed not to get hit by bullets or physically be hurt, “but mentally, I’m not ok. I haven’t been the same since and I don’t think this feeling I have will ever change.” “I truly believe I’m damaged for life!” Man arrested in Okaloosa County for DUI, multiple drugs found in car: FHP report ‘We are very thankful Mr. Jackson wasn’t injured’ Okaloosa County Sheriff Eric Aden released a statement regarding the incident and Hernandez’s resignation. He also posted a video to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office YouTube page. In that statement, Aden said the OCSO must work to protect both officers and anyone accused of a crime. “We are very thankful Mr. Jackson wasn’t injured and we have no reason to think former Deputy Hernandez acted with any malice,” Aden said. “We are limited in further response due to pending litigation. But let this be clear, we understand this situation was traumatic for Mr. Jackson and all involved and have incorporated this officer involved shooting into our training to try to ensure nothing similar happens again. “Though his actions were ultimately not warranted, we do believe he felt his life was in immediate peril and his response was based off the totality of circumstances surrounding this fear. “Just as we have an obligation to protect our officers so they can go home safely to their families, law enforcement has the same obligation to any citizen being investigated for a crime.”
  10. Been good, traveling a lot lately while I wait for snow. Bought a Sportsman 850 last fall, Todd bought a 1000, so got out on those a few times last fall. Complete lunacy after coming off 400-500 cc singles to big bore twins. Watched snox from the beach in Florida. Maybe head up there for the Duluth races? Should be shorts, t-shirt, and croc weather. Went to the boat show in January. People are still buying but inventory is stacking up. Prices are nuts but they say inflation is transitory so don't worry.
  11. No barbie hands here either. Now I have all sorts of "special tools". At least your sled doesn't have the second clutch fixed to the jack shaft... Some day I'll tell you all about my 3 hour experience replacing spark plugs.
  12. Catalyst mods were being built in TRF at the race department from what I heard. Herf said that in one of his videos where he was out testing and his mechanics were up in TRF building mod sleds. Benham has been helping develop the new SX sled. Wonder if they will use the new 600 platform with the 800 bottom end?
  13. 4th I believe, Yurk was 5th.
  14. The hotel next to my work has been full of immigrants for the last year. It still has the hotel sign on it but you can't book a room there. Many other hotels along 494 in Bloomington are doing the same thing.
  15. Early 90s Ranger. Can't remember the exact year, 93 maybe?
  16. There is no way Elias tried to cross over there. At those speeds, the moguls kick the sleds left and right with no warning. He came up short on the previous jump and got squirrely which is really what started the whole series of events.
  17. Yeah, no way would I have that bulletin done on my sled. That can't help with airflow and cooling of the clutches. Mo heat, mo problems.
  18. There was a pile up right there in the Sport final too, I believe on Saturday night. Also, we need to boot the pro am 30+, snobikes, 200, and 120 champ classes from the night show until room is made for the sport final. Run the sport final as the first race on a fresh track then touch up the track during pro rider introductions.
  19. Trump, Desantis, Vivek, all of them are fine. My vote is for Trump. But Haley, no way. What did Vivek call her, Dickey Cheney is heels? That pretty much sums it up.
  20. Yup, stream is already fucked. Maybe we will get lucky and someone will do a Facebook Live stream.
  21. Sounds like the track is in good hands. I think they were in the process of firing up all the snow guns Wednesday night when I was leaving. There was equipment running and no snow guns but by the time I got on the freeway the snow guns were running. Snowmobile Racing Network posted this photo this morning.
  22. Pictures from tonight. A few rigs in the parking lot already and some smaller rigs pulling in too. It was tough to see how much snow they had piled towards the start line end. The snow guns were on again tonight.
  23. All these smart appliances are a HUGE security vulnerability. How often do you think manufacturers are going to roll out a security patch for a decades old refrigerator? No way would I connect that to my network.
