I can legally run my Jeep on most of the trails in the UP and out west. Don’t need a trail permit in a lot of states.

We go up for the 4th of July for a week. They are usually chilled out by then. You get eaten alive before that.

They are the devil. The next 4 weeks are the worst. I typically don’t go up there right now. The ticks and black fly’s keep you inside. Loggers have to wear those nets on their heads.

There are a bunch of wild turkeys in my camp yard this time of year. Supposedly they are grazing the yard for ticks. Ticks are really bad in the UP this time of year.

Well Ilanoid has tremendous shipping options. Canadian National owns a bunch of rails and and Barges running up and down the river. Glorious grain elevators and fertilizer holding silos up and down the river. I think it takes 10 days to get from Chicago to New Orleans via tug boat pushing a fare amount of barges. That is dependent on flooding in the spring and lock traffic.
