  1. How much federal aid money was just spent a couple months ago on saving what was left of L.A. from burning? And now federal aid as in military police is not accepted by L.A. to save more burning? Interesting.....
  2. Well i'll be damned, a common-sense statement for a change

  8. It'd be a damn shame if parents couldn't afford an i-phone for their 8-15 year olds, erregardless of where the hell they're made.
  9. We've yet to break any Pittsburgh brand impact sockets, and we abuse the shit outta them. Have blown the guts outta the 1/2" rachets though, but that was our own fault. They're not made for 3' pipes slid over the handle for leverage. "The breaker bar's right over there, son!"
  10. Production Average: An average of 15,000 seeds is produced per dandelion plant. There are usually 150-200 seeds per flower and up to 10 flowers per plant. Canada thistle: Production Range: Seed production ranges from 1,500 to 5,300 seeds per plant. Common Ragweed: • Seed production varies from 32,000 to 62,000 seeds per plant Green Foxtail: produces 5,000-12,000 seeds per plant which can remain viable for 6 years Lambsquarter: Seed production per plant is relatively high, with a few studies reporting up to 500,000 seeds/plant; most sources cite 70,000 to 100,000 seeds/plant. 11. At least Trump got a hot piece of ass over that deal.
  12. A pint glass with dinner? Yes, cause my body is the same exact thing as 43,560 sq. feet of soil.
  13. So how many acres/year is glyphosate applied to wheat?
  14. I know, right? Round-up 26oz./acre Dicamba-16oz./acre (I get by many times with 4-6oz.) Here's a good one-Sharpen-1oz./acre one fucking oz./acre = soaking the ground Moravis Ace fungicide-13.6 oz./acre (I make it an even 14-fuck it) Xyway fungicide infurrow on corn-6.4oz./acre SOAKING!!!!11111
  15. We soaked the ground well before the 70's and 80's with harsher chemicals than we use today. Atrazine and 2-4D is pretty much all they had to use back in the 70's for weed control. 1-2 quarts/acre at planting, then another 1-1.5 quarts/acre with crop oil at knee high if you had an outbreak of weeds and couldn't control it mechanically in season. Some other residuals used then which are no longer approved by the EPA. Many harsh insecticides for potatoes and veggies back then also. As far as the GMO goes, hybridization has been around a long long time and to many that is considered genetically modifying. I don't know, i'm leaning toward the most damaging, to least in the order of 1-unhealthy eating and living lifestyles (non-physical sit-down jobs) 2-preservatives in foods (too long of a shelf-life to be good) 3-food we grow (you want cheapest food possible, hey man, it's gotta yield for it to pay, or you ain't gettn' any!) ........but then again, i'm pretty biased. Nobody here from the food processing side of the spectrum wanna share some of their thoughts or concerns?
  16. Hmmmmmmm. Lots of conflicting information. Do we grow unhealthy food, or do we have unhealthy food processing techniques. Or do we just plain have too many unhealthy eating habits?
  17. No shit? Free electricity, eh?
  18. We know, you're disappointed it wasn't a 'live down by the river' luxury van that he got instead
  19. Our local state representative here along with a handful of others across the state came up with a proposed plan a few years ago to go from 6% sales tax on goods to 7.3333%? in the state to eliminate Pa school property taxes altogether. And the school districts and municipalities shot it down. They are so used to spending the $ and then paying for it later with increased taxes it's pathetic. They don't work off a budget with a system designed like this, although they often boast about "school budegeting". WTF would it matter? If you can afford a $90,000 pickup truck, what's another 1.3% sales tax? That really gonna change a person's mind? I kinda doubt it.....
