  1. No frost in the ground here. Forecast predicts a max of 6 inches of snow in the next 2 weeks. Not sure that my sleds will see snow this season.
  2. Local township went to a 4 day work week. 4-10's either Mon-Thur or Tues-Fri, rotated every 2 weeks. So now the township office is at half staff 2 days out of the week....lol These people couldn't get shit done when they were working 5 days a week. This kind of talk is hard to understand when you've been working 60 hours or more per week for most of your life. In my business, we have had a hard time hiring new people or getting people to stay. The wife says I need to split the shifts. Hire people to work 30 hours per week but to hire 2 people for each position. It don't work that way.
  3. Couple of steaks for tomorrow’s dinner for my son and I. Prices are getting out of hand. I should have dug through the freezer for another package from 2 weeks earlier.
  4. 2 more calls this afternoon after posting above. That makes 5 for today. New high score.
  5. Ttt What the hell is going on with these phone scammers? Since the Covid restrictions have lifted, the scammers are back out in full force and I think they have drastically multiplied. Since early December I’ve been getting at least 3-4 calls per week. And in the last 2 weeks, up to 3 calls per day. It’s driving me nuts. I have a business line and I need to answer my phone.
  6. Just watched The Black Stallion. Mickey Rooney, Terri Garr, directed by Francis Coppola. 1979. Great movie. Hard to believe its over 40 years old.
  7. Ya, Egr and DPF. Previous owner had it done at a shop right after he bought it. Only problem is he didn't buy a programmer. He just had the shop load in a tune for the deletes with a big hp tow set up. Its got big jump off the line and she'll puff black smoke anytime you go a bit extra. And it has an annoying trans shift at 55mph. Upshifts and downshifts on speed, not throttle position so when you try to drive 55 it is constantly up and down, up and down, etc. I have to go see my buddy who owns a Ford Superduty repair shop and see if he can restore it to stock then put a programmer on it. I've done some reading and most of the programmers on the market now don't handle the deletes. You have to go to aftermarket tune suppliers. Sounds messy.
  8. I haven’t had deer at my feeder since April but tonight I have 2 bucks.
  9. You would think an ‘08 would be that dated but the truck didn’t come with Bluetooth. Added an Alpine double din head unit to fix that. Also added a tailgate handle with rear view camera. Wired it to one of the upfitter switches so I can turn it on when I want. Retained my steer wheel controls, added SiriusXM module and the sound works with the factory sub. Everything plug and play with matching connectors to factory. Amazing what they have available these days…..lol A wash and a wax and moved it out of the shop for the next project. Debating what to do with those tires. They just look too small. 275/65/20’s Previous owner did a 2.5 inch level/lift with new coils upfront and a 1 inch block added in back under the factory block. I don’t like stacked blocks but I could easy cure that with blocks from a 350. Ride up front is a bit stiff compared to my other trucks. Need to figure out what can be done with the heated seats too. The only have on/off and it burns your ass after 10 minutes.
  10. Doing a small brisket. Wife had it in the freeze. It’s only 5 lbs, just the flat. Not sure how this will work as it’s not even 1.5 inch thick. I’ll probably turn it in to a brick. picked up a welding blanket yesterday. Giving that a try too.
  11. Cardboard pile was taking over my shop. Good thing there is no snow blocking the fire pit. 2 inches on the ground here. Couldn’t even see the fire pit 2 weeks ago. From the camera today.
  12. Hi Sean, A topic which has been discussed many time something I’d like bit of clarification on. It been common practise the last few years for people sell an unused permit or sell a snowmobile with a current permit attached. I’ve have run into Police stops on many occasions and have never been asked for paperwork for my permit (though I do carry it), only for registration and insurance. I have always assumed that no one cares as long as a permit is on display. Is their an actual legal requirement to have the permit on the sled registered to the owner?
  13. Yep, just makes me wonder what I don't see.......lol
  14. This is her second warning. One more and she’s booted from the garage.
  15. I thought so too. They missed some calls but that happens at any level. And they weren’t afraid to go to check video. Canada had more penalty minutes than any other team.
  16. Just great hockey. All of the semi and quarter final games were action packed.
  17. Loved my '96 ZRT 600 until I bought my '98 ZRT 800. I owned a '00 Tcat a few years ago just for fun. There is nothing like the pull of that Tcat triple with grip on clean ice. I went 118 on the gun and sold it before I killed myself. Always wondered how the ZRT600 with power valves worked.
  18. was forced the first time, they can shove the boosters up there ass Their
  19. Just watched that on the news. The case is getting more bizarre. Starting to look like he was infatuated with one of the victims and she wasn’t interested so he killed all 4 of them to make it look like a random serial killing. He is a psycho.
  20. Most of the people I know who left Ontario went east for cheap housing. A few went to Alberta to live "free".
  21. I don’t know if I’m fixing this power mirror or I just destroyed it. Time will tell.
