  1. No pennies in Canada my friend. The Royal Canadian Mint stopped producing and distributing pennies in Canada as of February 4, 2013 due to rising costs relative to face value and the significant handling costs of the penny for retailers, financial institutions and the economy in general.
  2. I use a classic Kraft peanut butter Teddy Bear jar. It used to hold $400-500 in change but since the wife started counting it only holds $125.
  3. Bell and Chastain take each other out and the 3rd place driver wins?
  4. Never heard of Oasis report. Had to google. The owner gave me a run down of what he knew about the truck. Came from Arizona to Canada around 2015. Owned by a friend of his. 4 years ago, he wrecked a 2009 King Ranch duallie and needed a truck right away to pull trailers. He bought this. It had a bullet proofed motor with a big turbo and performance goodies. Last summer he felt a vibration in the truck, he thought ujoint. Took it to a small Ford dealer he knew to have this looked at. Dealership belonged to a friend. They replaced balljoints, tierods, front ujoints and draglink. He got the truck back, noticed the vibration was still there. Made an appointment to take it back and have the oil changed. They fixed the vibration, hanger bearing. Truck was running a bit strange, hesitation, hard starting. Check the dipstick and it was dry. Called the dealer. The kid who does the oil changes only put 6 liters in it. Back to the dealer but the damage was done. Motor was junk. He had it towed to a different shop that specialized in diesels. Plan was to put a Ford crate motor in but the shop said the old block was junk and core on the crate motor was $7200. He found a beater truck to pull the motor out of to use for the core but it ran so well they put it in this truck. The shop went through this motor before it went in. Clean and tight. He says it runs great every since but its not the truck it was. He bought a Mercedes 4x4 1 ton van to replace it. It needs emergency brakes, tires, cab corners are soft but should pass safety. Big rust spot over windshield which is my biggest worry but its just metal and paint and it doesn't need to be perfect.
  5. Completely stock motor. I'll pull the EGR delete and tuner from my old truck.
  6. No, sent my guys home or told them not to come in at least a dozen times this summer, 2 days last week. I’m working chasing leads that go no where. Yep, went from couldn’t do the work because we couldn’t find help to the phone never rings. The employees I have now called me looking for work.
  7. The replacement for the blue ‘07 that died. No, I haven’t learned a fucking thing…lol 2007 Harley F350 long bed 6.0 with 465k kms showing. Currently has a replacement motor with 220k kms.
  8. I remember when we were kids, if you heard about someone giving out full size chocolate bars, you would walk right past 40 other houses to get one of those bars. The Fielder's owned a delicatessen in town and they always gave out full size bars from some European chocolate maker. I wasn't able to go that far until I got older.
  9. Ontario is far from booming. Its done a complete reversal from super boom to stagnation. I talked to a house builder from Brampton last week. He's selling house at a $200k loss, only good part is the Ontario government is giving him back $120k of that. Talked to 3 electrical companies and they have all laid off staff.Customer who builds custom cabinets says he's dead, guys are working 3 or 4 days per week. Flooring company owner said he's at half staff. My business has never been this slow since I started 25 years ago. Next year will be worse. She's booming alright.
  10. I actually did, but it’s 4 hrs drive away and a 2wd. A 2008 F250 King Ranch with 50k miles on it. Owned by an older couple who pulled a trailer on occasion. Super clean and straight $22k. My buddy wants me to buy it and make a 4wd using my F250 driveline parts. He says it’s a lot of work but I could pull 95% of the parts from my ‘07. I just do not have the time to go look right now.
  11. If I was an intelligent person that would probably be the route to go but I’m not I guess. I have no need for a 6.7 or even a diesel really. I only need the truck to last 5 yrs, I want something a bit different (special) than a standard truck. It needs to have a clean interior. I want something for under $20k on the road. It has to be a Ford. I don’t want a 5.4 or a 6.4. That leaves me looking at 6.0’s or possibly a 6.2 gas if I have to buy something more modern. In the end, I prefer the looks of ‘05-07 and I have great parts truck to raid. So 06-07 F250 Outlaw, Harley, Amarillo packages would be top of the list. King Ranch is possible but I don’t like those interiors once they get beat.
  12. That’s what 20 something year backs are for.
  13. Congrats. I’ve done some 50-60 bag pours on job sites where it wasn’t worth getting a ready mix truck. A buddy of mine did 250 bags to fill footings and sonotubes for a deck at his cottage. He bought an electric mixer for $400 which was helpful. Biggest challenge I find with the bags is not to get too much water is the mix or it takes for ever before you can trowel a finish. The bleed water just keeps coming out for hours.
  14. My 2007 F250 diesel has died and I’m looking for a replacement. Prefer crewcab diesel pre-emissions. I reply to a Marketplace add for a 2007 F350 Outlaw package truck with 400k kms (250k miles). He’s asking $9000. I ask about rust in the body. He says the drivers side rocker is a bit rough. Motor runs great, and rest of the body is good. So with hope in my heart I drive 1.5 hours to see this gem. He and I disagree on the definition of rough. Behind this pic is a section with 3 inches of steel missing. It don’t take a body man to realize that’s major. That’s inner, outer rocker and door post, likely part of the floor is gone too. Passenger side wasn’t much better. Strangely the cab corners are mint. Box is rotted through on passenger side. Both bumpers are rotted through. Look in the interior and both front seats are beat, repairable but beat. Now, I’m an optimist I guess cause I haven’t left yet….lol Let’s start it up. Glow plugs work, ai turn the key and she fires right up. But it’s not smooth, lump, lump, lump. I push the pedal hoping it will clean up. Nope it’s definitely got a miss and we got CEL on in the cluster. I says Dude, it’s obvious it has a miss. Best case it’s a bad injector but there are things a lot worse that could be going on here. Have you tried to safety it? No but the rear calipers are seized so we towed it here. So it’s rotten, the motor has a miss and I can’t test drive it? Ok, what do you need out of it? Id like to get close to my $9k. What a way to waste a Sunday.
  15. I had to see this Ty Dillon stat for my self. So, he's raced in Cup at Talledega 11 times in his career. His best finish is a 3rd. His only other top 10 was a 10th. But, he's only finished outside the top 20 2 times with a 23 and 34 place finishes. In order, 13, 11, 15, 15, 17, 10, 12, 3, 33, 23, 14. Austin Dillon, Briscoe, Amirola
  16. Just getting started around here.
  17. Great minds? If you say so....
  18. What math? The position of Prime Minister pays shit. He could make more dough owning a couple Tim Horton's. We are supposed to be surprised by the fact that backdoor deals is where the cash is made? Good for him for finding a way to make a buck.
  19. I read a bit because I didn’t know who she was but recognized the name. She was born in a wealth family. She also married well and her third husband was an investment banker. She owned a ton of properties. Smart lady.
  20. She made some good bucks for a politician. RIP In 2018, Dianne Feinstein had an estimated net worth of $87,938,540.
