  1. Love that Black/gold combo. I hope to own one at some point.
  2. Definitely an interesting guy. According to Wiki, he has a telecommunications degree from Georgia State. Raising Cane was the name of his dog at the time. I've never heard of Raising Cane's, but here in Canada, we just got Chik-Fil-A a couple years ago. 5 Guys and Chipotle are just crossing the border as well. We had a Carl's Jr open and close inside of 6 months not far from me. Shawarma and Burrito shops seem to be the fastest growing segment here.
  3. Bobby Rahal in the Miller car. Or Robbie Gordon in the Coors Light car. The Pennzoil cars in their bright yellow were always standouts.
  4. Thanks. Its not the best way to do it but when a customer waits until October to tell you the pool is leaking it doesn't leave many options. We were lucky to get the day we did.
  5. They've been doing that here for years but we stake first. They used to use a tractor, now they use the groomer. Most modern farmers don't plow the fields any more but the old order Mennonites still like to cut deep.
  6. Looks good. Not available in Canada. I went and bought both the incandescent and LED light repair units last night. I was able to fix 3 of my LED strings and 2 of my deer that had sections out. Getting there. I have one more tree to string then plant 2 new spruce trees on Thursday and string those and I'm done outside. The wife gets home from Florida tomorrow so I'll be helping her for the rest of the week do all her lights.
  7. Its your balls that get cold on a Pro-cross unless you are very active or deflect the wind at the sides. Not sure how well you are insulated there.
  8. Interesting read. I've only been staking a handful of times, but here in Ontario, the rules are pretty cut and dry. All stakes must be made of soft wood. We use 2"x2" stakes 4' long. They must be painted in Flourescent orange and marked with reflectors at the top. The only place you are allowed to use steel stakes is at road crossing. The thought is that wood stakes will snap off easier causing less damage if a sled runs into it. Steel is only for Stop and Stop Ahead signs. Caution signs were outlawed years ago due to the court cases. Apparently, hanging a caution sign means that the club is acknowledging a hazard or problem with the trail. Don't hang the caution sign and there is no problem. Same goes for directional arrow signs. There is a manual with specific dimensions for stake placement, trail width and distance between stakes. Even with all this, there are still differences in how each club stakes and signs its trails.
  9. I posted this to Youtube back in 2010. First time out with my new Gopro camera and 2010 Gade 1200 X. It was Christmas day. Trails were fresh groomed and vacant. I wasn't sure if it was still there.....
  10. I'll go with Larson as well but its real close between him and Kyle for me. Hard to say this right but I feel like either one of these guys have the ability to take a subpar car and get a better finish than it deserves. I think Gordon's and Johnson's talents were more in their ability to convey to their teams what changes they needed in the car to make it faster during a race. I think Chad and Ray each played a major role in making these drivers great.
  11. Yep, I remember it too. I seem to remember watching the crash over and over again and then they just stopped showing it.
  12. I went to buy one last night at Home Depot. They only work on incandescent bulbs according to the packaging. Edit. I checked Canadian Tire and they have an LED one. Off to Crappy Trash.
  13. Have to go with Schumacher but it is hard to compare.
  14. Smoking some ribs while working on the Christmas lights.
  15. I originally did my house in the large old school bulbs 18 years ago. Pretty simple, 1 bulb goes out, replace that bulb. That worked until the bulbs got hard to find and when you found them you had to buy 10 in a pack for an outrageous price, and when you put them in they were a different colour than the rest…..lol I switched the the large LED’s on the house years ago and they have been great. I think I fixed one bulb 5-6 years ago. I’m redneck with those though. They stay up all year and don’t get banged around. Also they are under the eaves so they don’t see much moisture. Thats what I’ve been doing and when they were $10/ string it was easier. They are $30/ 50 light string on sale now and I’m throwing out 10 of them. I was hoping someone might know a quick fix.
  16. Ok, every year I go through the same bullshit with lights. I set up my chair and go through plugging in each string to see what works. This year I’m at about a 50% failure rate. The fails are all half string not lit. Usually, I head to the store to buy new but this year I started with 1 string replacing bulbs trying to find the bad one. Quickly found that all the blue bulbs were rotten, working or not and the sockets are corroded. Not worth any more of my time. But now I do have all the bulbs that work available to use for replacement. is there an easier way to find the bad bulbs? Strings on right are bad.
  17. Manhole? assuming gender? Just kidding, seen a clip.
  18. Sammy and crew were on Stern too. The Stern show has been getting a lot of big names on the show in the last 6 months. Michal Anthony on bass, Joe Satriani on guitar and Jason Bonham on drums. Sammy is 76 and these guys are heading out on tour...lol
  19. Dolly was on Stern this week. Reminded me of this cover. And this one.
  20. Last scheduled job for this year. Finish it off tomorrow. Bring on the snow. My mom’s neighbour. People are slobs. Broke shit everywhere. That broken filter in front of the shed was sitting there 6 years ago. How people live like this is beyond me.
  21. Sandblasted and powder coated, put back together with stainless hardware, plastic skis and off to the storage shed.
