John Deere acquires majority ownership in battery manufacturer
Rigid1 replied to steve from amherst's topic in Current Events
Like where have you been?? Battery tractors and zero turns have been out for over 10 years now..we started distributing them in 2010..I'd say your friends at Horicon are well over a decade late.. -
I never said you were obligated, just asking you to clarify something that you have claimed to be a big problem with society and kinda your major talking point... And No, just so we are absolutely crystal fucking clear.....YOU SAID, you pay your entry level full time employees a living wage. I asked, and so have others what that wage is?? I honestly don't see how it could be any more precise that I asked a question based on your statement. Obviously you don't pay a living wage
-
Im just going by what you said,..You almost done dancing around the question?? If you don't want to answer that's fine too, you can just say it
-
Because you bragged about paying your all your employees, 60 of em, a "living wage"... So you did decide what it is.. The absolute most important thing about that statement is what that wage is that you did decide for all entry level employees that they would be able to live and prosper on..

Rigid1 replied to Mainecat's topic in Current Events
And there is the reasoning for your fake story.. The sad part is you were able to link a story from a "news source" And they gut hooked your stupid ass as usual..Fucking epic!! -
I'm just waiting for him to answer what he thinks a living wage is in his area..He doesn't seem to be able to answer and honestly avoiding the answer.. While in the same breath claiming business owners need to pay people a living wage...but then again it is motoderp..

Well I've lived on 25k a year for quite a few years growing up, sure you can "live" on that, but can you grow, prosper, excel?? Nope..what's your yearly pay for your entry level position?? 70k??
-
Most entry level positions are not full time, I honestly can't think of any, plus school age kids are limited to hours by the DOL, at least they are here in NY. 16 hrs while in primary school.. How do you not know this stuff?? Don't you have kids and employees?? Or was ones of those a farse??

For retirees who like to get out, most older retirees like to get out and shop early, some retirees like to keep a part time job too, I know of quite a few. They just want to get out, socialize, get away from the wife or hubby for a few. Not in it for the money, in it to enjoy life still. Also some kids are done with school fairly early senior year. My daughter is done with school at 11:30 Tuesday and Thursday, so she cranked out some hours, starts at 1 those days gets her max 16 hours in.. As a parent Id like my daughter not to work her next 40+ years as a deli worker even if it did pay 90k+ a year..She has way more potential and skills in life she needs to explore. I would feel like a total piece of shit parent if I wanted or expected her current entry level job should be a life long career choice no matter if it was a 90k/yr job..
