  1. Seriously on what part? I think employers should have the right to let people go who don't jive with the corporate image or rules. I'd feel no different if someone spoke in support of causes I don't support such as puberty blockers for children or no need to inform parents. She fucked around and found out, knowing full well what the Disney brand was.
  2. Lol, they are sowing the seeds of doubt already on legitimacy...much like a laptop, Russian hookers and Chinese business partners. I can already hear the exploding heads of conspiracy nutters everywhere. Be interesting to see how the media plays this one out.
  3. You're broke and under invasion. You've got your own wars to fund...or not.
  4. Can't see it going anywhere, although I wish her well and may agree with much of what she said. Companies should be able to fire people they don't agree with. Don't bite the hand that feeds 'ya. The narrator of the video is a bit of a numbskull though, or a fuckin' retard. He is under the assumption life is fair and diversity includes everybody. AI perhaps.
  5. Not so. My wife and I did. Mom likes where she is and it’s her money so she went back after the initial Covid nonsense. If it came down to it she can come here, we would build or buy her, her own place on my property. Ive been actively looking into it. For my parents as well, but they want to live where they are until the end. I’m not going to force something on them.
  6. But it's not very liquid for the most part. A home is a prime example for many. My mother in law gave each of her 5 children $100,000 as a Christmas present a number of years ago. I like to say she bought me my tractor and gave me the gift of sipping coffee in a t-shirt while clearing snow. Our accountant showed how it would be beneficial to do it then, while she was still alive. Well, she's lived longer, had far more health issues and inflation has driven up her costs in the place she's at. $10,000 a month. There is a possibility of the money running out. Some of the kids couldn't afford to give her the money back if needed. That's the danger many face, if they pass down the wealth to soon and or live longer than anticipated.
  7. No better than here...with the exception that the odds of an avalanche are significantly less.
  8. Then why is your country virtually bankrupt, crime ridden and under invasion?
  9. That is true, and truly sad. Would add a whole new level to low information voter. I'd still giver a poke in the whisker biscuit....as long as we don't talk politics.
  10. I’ve watched his stuff many times. Smart dude I maintain, repair and inspect my vehicles and trailers on a super high level. Nothing leaves my place in anything but a safe condition. Wife called me Wednesday, her van was acting weird, smoking out of the front right wheel. Classic GM calliper fail. Drive it home, take the spare van. Ordered both callipers, both rotors and pads. $1000. Dropped off by my local supplier a few hours later. Service done, back on the road it is. I am trying to do Amazon less and less. Keep my local guys in business
  11. Yep. There is such a demand for drivers, the concrete company I work for part time (I’ve done 15 years of accident free full and part time for) has had to lower its standards by a wide margin. Used to be they wouldn’t look at you unless you had 3 years experience, preferably some off road heavy load trucking or agricultural experience as well. Now, it’s you’ve got the license, you’re hired. More accidents and roll overs in the last few years than there was in previous decades. They did adopt a system that meant all of us had to do training, a 3 day course in truck and classroom. The guy teaching it spent weeks with the training company. He also happened to be a guy I had worked with for 10 years, I was the guy that rode with and “trained” him when he came to work with us. He already had years driving all things concrete trucks. It was just a formality. He knew I’m about as good as it gets. The introduction to the training asked how you would rate yourself as a driver, 0 to 5. I put down 6. My skill, experience and general defensive driving method…with an 80,000 to 120,000 pound machine, has saved multiple stupid car drivers from a death they would have caused. I see collisions long before they happen and adjust, even if it wouldn’t be my fault. On a snowmobile side note, I’m groomer coordinator for my area. Groomer lives at my place, get serviced and repaired by me, in my shop. We get new potential hires come in. Most get trained by the other operators. I trust their observations and advice. Usually it is my number one (see the Star Trek reference), he’s awesome gives me the cold hard truth. Generally it’s the farmers and truckers that will do a good job and not wreck shit.
  12. Love the witnesses they interviewed. Most said fuck ya, protect a citizen. God bless Texas. Two shots. That’s pretty good, with a hand gun and a running violent criminal. Dead. We have a major problem in Ontario with car theft. They will do a home invasion to get the keys. If the homeowner blasted the home invaders, the homeowner would be up on a murder charge. https://globalnews.ca/news/10213638/peterborough-store-clerk-charged-after-hitting-robbery- suspect-in-head-with-baseball-bat/ We are truly fucked by our laws and government. Bend over citizens, government is coming in dry. I’ve not been in that situation. Armed, attacked and my only option is lethal force. There would be little time to make decisions, I would likely pull the trigger. I can only ask those that judged me could see it from my perspective. Again, love Texas. You leave me alone, I’ll leave you alone.
  13. I used to think the single issue voter was a problem, then I realized I am one. Fiscal responsibility is my overriding issue. i don’t know what rights I’d be willing to give up, or whatever other issues I’d be willing to cave on, to put someone financially responsible in power. I don’t know, because there has never been that someone.
  14. Make it a Sunday at 10 am sharp. Get far fewer crazies at the polls......
  15. Don't think every country signed on for it either. While it may be shady for a company to have holdings in low tax jurisdictions, it is ultimately us, the consumer that pays these taxes and can choose to buy from said company or not.
  16. A good start. I'd prefer to have all taxes, every one, combined into a single payment they come for once a year...on election day.
  17. That's not very nice, or accurate. They sight of such an ugly baby, caused the doctor to drop the wretched thing on it's head, causing the brain damage.
  18. If true, you're doomed...ah heck you're boned either way lol. Nice knowing ya' America. Too bad, I wanted to get to my buddies condo in Florida this year.
  19. Until the adult conversations happen, like the crime in these neighborhoods is driving the businesses out, things will cascade downward still. In the downtown closest to me, the drugs, homeless population, crime etc has been driving businesses out for years. One in two storefronts are vacant, many are barely hanging on. People don't go downtown for much anymore, it's sad to see.
  20. Don't forget radioactive poison!
  21. See the current and previous occupant of the White house, both looking for a second term. The cream doesn't always rise to the top.
  22. What a joke. Can't get the ballots ready? What kind of neanderthal wants paper ballots? This is the 21st century. It should be all electrons and vacuum tubes over the interwebs.
  23. Note the quotes in smartest states. Many of the most clueless cunts I've met had various levels of higher education. Politicians for example. Having a degree does not make someone automatically useful or a leader.
