2013 Switchback Assault value....2500 miles
You, and a lot of others are pretty brave when Red Rocket isn't around to defend/praise Polaris sleds. I see, Kev is trying, and not doing too bad, but I'd bet he wishes ole Red would come back and help him out! Personally, I wouldn't touch a Poo sled built within the last 10-15 yrs! Sure, they are the "Way out" but you also have to get home sometimes too.

What kind of oil do you run in your sled(s)?
OK, another question. I changed the oil and filter in the spring of 2015 as part of the summerization process. I only ran the sled to circulate the oil and to check the level. The sled has sat silent, in my garage, since then until this week-end. Would you change the oil and filter or am I good to go? Like mentioned, I use synthetic. Mobil-1 0W-40 European formula.

winter weather weapons, what ya got?
I use to own this but it was only used to clear snow on a pond, not my driveway.

These for snow removal and these 2 for enjoying it.

What kind of oil do you run in your sled(s)?
Thought it might be around the same. What's the talk on Dootalk, Chris? Do some also use Mobil-1 or something different or do most stick with Doo oil? After my first oil change, I read numerous posts on TY and Bob is the oil guy about using non-manu oils and all had been using them for years. I chose the Mobil-1 0W-40 Euro formula as it has an ingredient, (zinc, I believe?) that isn't in North American oils, that is beneficial or good for our engines. I have also read numerous times that Hi-Flo makes their filters for Yamaha, and some dealers even carry them. I get those at Clarington cycle for under/around $10.00 bucks.

I did one oil change using Yamalube and a Yamaha filter and it cost me over $90.00 dollars! Been using Mobil-1 since with Hi-Flo filters and I haven't looked back. An oil/filter change now costs me roughly $45 a year. Much cheaper than Yamalube! I assume Doo oil/filters are also expensive?

Shell Advance dino in the XLT and Mobil-1 0W-40 synthetic in the Vector. The XLT has no power valves and it drinks the Shell so I'm glad it doesn't require synthetic and it is still relatively cheap. The Mobil 1 I run in the Vector is the European formula and I usually get it on sale.

2017 Permits
Permits are on both sleds and both sleds are pretty much ready to go.

It has begun
Cliff was taken off life support on Saturday. He was a great guy who always had a smile, always loved talking about sledding and atving and loved the great outdoors. For those that don't think this can happen to you, think again. Play save, not only this year, but always. Life is fleeting. Rest in Peace my friend.

It has begun
Just read some posts on OC and FB and it doesn't sound good for, Cliff. Story goes, he was test riding a sled he planned on purchasing for his son. Not sure how it happened or the story behind it, fully, but this is very sad news! Cliff was a great guy! Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

It has begun
Read the article before I read the rest of this post and immediately wondered if it was him? Not something I can picture Cliff doing, but then again, I don't know the whole story. He is a good guy, I speak to him frequently when I see him. X2, I hope it's not as bad as it sounds and he pulls through.

Trailer lid grab handle needed.
I may do that, or cap them with rubber caps if I can get the right size? The bolts won't fit going in that way, I tried. Besides, they are stainless.

Thanks. I was busy so I left some touch up painting and bolts to fill the old holes but I plan on doing that when time permits.

Who's getting snow?
You left yours way too late! This was my clean up week-end last year. It sucked big time having to put everything away with the weather being so great. This year it was cold and rainy (no pics) and it sucked big time!

I just have to paint and replace the bolts in the old holes and it will be complete.- Trailer lid grab handle needed.
LOL. Handle is installed and it works great! I was concerned, cutting part of the mounting bracket off, that it would weaken it, but it feels solid! My old plastic/rubber handle had some give/movement in it, (likely why it failed) so this is definitely an improvement.- Seafoam
I am about the same, maybe more? I use it in my vehicles a couple/few times a year as Fuel Injector cleaner. My boat, I splash some in every 5 Gal jug I use, every tank of fuel in my sleds, lawnmower, a few times a year, genny, the same, snowblower, etc, etc. I have taken the carbs apart on my XLT and they are spotless! I use to, before Sea Foam, clean them every year but since I have been using it, I haven't felt the need, based on what I seen, to tear them apart since. In the off season or just before storage, I run a little extra in everything and make sure I run it through the system for at least 10 minutes before storage.- Music

Thanks, but I ended up grabbing a handle off a scrap Snap-On tool box. I installed it today after a bit of modification and I think it will work great. That aside, I like the idea, that is shown in your link, of having a handle to help lift the tongue onto the ball. I never thought of that before so I may just grab one of those and do the same. Thanks!- Leafs 2016-2018
Poor, Reimer! I was hoping he would have a better game. Leafs are starting to look pretty good, or at least more fun to watch lately. I think, once Mathews finds his way, they will be a pretty good team. - Trailer lid grab handle needed.
