    Furnace advice needed.

My boss at work also says he does this. Going to have to try it I guess, especially with this new DC motor and the fact it costs way less to run. It is way different than anything I have ever used but then again, our old furnace/thermostat was like 25+ yrs old. Thanks for the info.
  2. That's been said for years, that certain generational items will be forgotten about but if you look at history, everything, especially with the price of inflation has gone up and up. From what I have seen, these collectables follow the economy/stock market like they are one in the same, and like I mentioned earlier, most of these high end "investors" don't care if they own a million dollar car or a baseball card. They are nothing more than an investment for them. I have also heard, with the amount of Chinese/Japanese/foreign wealth coming over, this is a way for them to hide/launder their money. There is a lot more to it than meets the eye.

    Furnace advice needed.

Our's is set in "F" and it is at 2 degrees. Going to do some more reading but being as Daikin is fairly new the market, not a lot of outside info is available yet.

    Furnace advice needed.

Just did some reading, it is called "thermostat differential" Not sure if ours is adjustable but it sounds like most are and one can set the differential up to 3 degrees. http://www.green-energy-efficient-homes.com/programmable-thermostat-temperature-spread.html Was thinking about that but the guy said yesterday, if I understood him correctly, it is best to use the fan on continuous mode only in the summer to help draw more cool air out of the basement. In the winter this has an opposite effect and makes the furnace run harder/more? I may see if I can set/change the differential to 1 degree rather than 2? It was also my understanding, with a 2 speed fan, that the lower fan speed would run the most to help maintain the desired temp rather than it kicking in on high speed to bring the temp back up? Also, if I again understood the guy correctly, it takes a bit for the furnace/stat to adjust/get use to each other so after a couple days, they learn to work together better?

    Furnace advice needed.

New furnace and A/C were installed yesterday. Can't believe how quiet this new furnace is! Still figuring some things out, namely the thermostat. Not sure if this is right though, as, for example, we set the temp to 67 but the furnace will not come on until it sees 65? I set it last night to 65 before bed but when I woke this morning, it was at 63, which is a tad cold imo! There are a ton of different programs/features on it so maybe something is out of wack with it or maybe my wife or I did something to screw it up? Other than that, the guys did a great job! Not a speck or dust/dirt anywhere, no banged walls, marks on floor, nothing. Very professional installers, imo.
  6. Going to be a good one tonight! Hart will definitely be getting the start.

    Yamaha Sidewinder

Haters going to hate. Not saying there isn't issues but they seem a lot less than the new 850 Doos. http://ty4stroke.com/threads/a-positive-review.146175/
  8. Poured like a Mo-Fo here in Oshawa last night but not sure how Port Perry or the Ganny faired. Current snow squall watch for Port and colder temps coming so hopefully it won't take too long to get things back up to snuff.
  9. How do you/she like it so far, or have you ridden it enough yet to tell? Still rocking my 08 Vector but haven't ridden it in 2 years. I am currently running Bergstrom 8" Triple Points but wish I had of went with 6" as it can be a beast sometimes at the slower speeds. Check on TY 4stroke to see what guys are running. http://ty4stroke.com/threads/2014-viper-rtx-stock-carbides.130370/ Good luck.
  10. When I started reading this I was certain you were going to say CIBC. I dealt with them once when I assumed the mortgage of the seller on my first home. Could not believe the B.S. this bank spewed and how inept they were with simple tasks. When my mortgage was up in 6 months I moved to TD and never looked back. I have dealt with TD for years and years since then and never ever had a problem like your's. If I did, they would no longer get any of my business and I'd pull my money out so fast, they wouldn't know what hit them.
  11. Wow! That looks amazing. Beauty pic!
  12. Never thought of that. Thought it was just the ratchet strap that did that but was wondering how tight did the guy wanted the thing!
  13. Quite the opposite, actually. A lot of these high end/high dollar cars are simply investments, somewhere to diversify ones money. A lot of these people, if you knew the real story, could care less about what they have or own, they are simply another investment "vehicle", if you will. Whether it be art, collector cards, antiques, or a myriad of other expensive, one of a kind, collectable, the bottom line is, they are somewhere for the 1% to put their money. http://m.mlb.com/cutfour/2016/11/19/209237032/mickey-mantle-1952-topps-card-sells-for-over-a-million-dollars http://www.invaluable.com/blog/specialists-speak-2016-trends-and-predictions-in-collecting/
  14. Hope everyone had a good one! I know I did, but now I am shutner down
  15. Great looking sled! One for the top half of the vehicle and one for the bottom. Don't ask me how I know?
  16. Same to you, CKF, and everyone else on here! All the best!
  17. That happens a lot, even in the NHL. The goalie tries to make himself as big as possible by throwing his big/wide glove up there and sometimes they get lucky and the puck goes in the glove. Watch some of the highlight reels and you will see this quite often. They are playing better, imo, but a big hole for sure. They need one soon to stand a chance. Their loss of their big player isn't helping though.
  18. Yep, don't don't stand a chance if they can't stay out of there! U.S. is big and strong but Canada is again, looking for the perfect pass instead of just shooting the puck. Frustrates the hell out of me as most of those passes get intercepted and the opportunity is once again wasted!!!
  19. Any idea what the story is behind that pic?
  20. Tate nailed it. Nunez made her quit and I bet Rousey does as well. Good riddance, I say.
  21. I haven't watched the U.S. yet but I have heard they have a solid team. On paper, I'd say they are the favorites but usually that just fires up the opposing team. I don't Canada's squad is as strong as years past, but they are currently proving that wrong. This will be a huge test for both squads with hopefully Canada prevailing but I think this game might be decided on who gets the bounces, and like you said, who can stay out of the box! Going to be a great game!
  22. I don't pay much attention to the UFC but I was curious how this fight ended up. Glad to hear/watch Rousey get her ass kicked again! I despise her arrogance, her lack of sportsmanship, and most of all, her greater than thou attitude. She constantly refuses to shake hands, both before and after fights, and that rubs me the wrong way. Hopefully this is the last we hear from her, and judging by the outcome of this one, back to back loses, I don't think we ever will again in this magnitude.
  23. My son has been riding since he was 3-4. I understand what people say about too big of a machine as I had concerns as well but knowing him, knowing his skill set, maturity, etc, etc, I felt pretty comfortable giving him my 95 XLT. Those who start out on big sleds without ever having ridden anything, are looking for trouble, imo, but at the same time, I know some people, even though they are inexperienced, are mature/smart enough to know that things can happen fast. Some have no clue, sadly.
