  1. Younger people are missing out then. they’re great cars and for the money can’t be beat for their performance and reliability.
  2. Yep, IL has a lot more than we do for sure.
  3. That’s where all the nice cars are in the Midwest bro. Not much choice. Finding a Z06 for sale in WI ain’t an easy task. Can’t be too many of them from what I saw.
  4. Edited for the trifecta of butthurt that will ensue
  5. It’s a pretty awesome car man. Not gunna lie. I love it. The c6z was one of favorite cars as a kid when it first came out. Nothing else outside of it (or maybe a c6 zr1) and the C8 interest me personally. Something about a 427 na corvette with serious performance numbers always peaked my interest. I don’t care about how average the interior is, the motor is stout, it has proper tremec 6 speed, 325s, great exhaust note, and 7100 rpm. It’s hard to beat them for the price you pay and these will hold their value.
  6. Poor bhen. 4 seconds around a track like that is like riding a 600 vs an 850.
  7. Wrong. The c6z did it in 1.22 look at the other cars around it. The M5 doesn’t hold the c6zs jock strap.
  8. Amen to that. I’d agree regardless of the sports car you choose to drive. I use Mobil 0-40 in my LS7 which is probably the best oil they make spec wise, I don’t get on it until the oil temp is at operating temp, usually around 140-165 depending on ambient. 11 qts of oil takes too long to warm up,
  9. I’m your huckleberry this 3150 lb 2006 Z06 would blow the doors off that M5 and not even break a sweat. LS7 ftmfw
  10. I have shaper 7.5s with bergstrom shims and stock 4” on the outside of my doo pilot 5.7s, they do very well. 129” ripsaw 2 1.25 track on a 2018 xrs 850 with only 2 studs per bar but with 1/2” of penetration almost though. Steering effort isn’t bad at all and feels like a nice balanced sled. No matter what I do it doesn’t handle like the xcr axys did with a similar setup. You made the right call 9” is way too much for most sleds. 6 or 7.5 is the way to go depending on the setup.
  11. Let’s clarify something real quick. I don’t know the whole backstory regarding how exactly the boat was acquired. That was between your family and my dad. I didn’t know about the boat until after my graduation when my dad surprised me with it. I sold the boat at least 3 years later after putting over $1000 into fixing it and getting it running well. I sold it for a couple of grand to Preston and then took that money and rolled it into the purchase of my current boat that I have now. I never, ever would do a quick sale or take advantage of others like that and anyone that knows me personally would back me on that. im sorry this was brought up in the first place and I really dislike being dragged into things like this that involve me personally.
  12. You should’ve shopped his head on there... .
  13. I had a kwik trip ribeye last week. Stopped in and saw the steaks sitting in the cooler there individually package and $12 a lb. It looked excellent and the wife was gone for the week so I figured I’d give it a shot. It was very good!! This one was a bit over a lb and over an inch thick.
  14. 7100 rpm redline over 500 hp and almost 500 lb ft of torque in a light compact setup. I’d say its pretty good.
  15. Frog skins will go over those. They rip easy so they usually put them on last
  16. I’d agree with that. One way or another, putting a sign up is a recipe for conflict nowadays. A bumper sticker is good for your car getting vandalized. Sad.
