  1. Calm your tits Karen. The sticker is usually on my windshield on my trail sled because I don’t have a problem with breaking them or ripping them off. Plus, I put it on a piece of thick, clear backer tape so it comes right off. This guy wasn’t that smart. Lastly, I will keep the windshield for any chance of a long weekend/weekday ride having to take place in really cold temps.
  2. Too low. It’s down on the bottom of my nose trying to pinch my nose closed. I think the straps are all the way out, too.
  3. Well, I couldn’t handle it and bought another sled. That little 600 is a great sled and will make someone happy. I’m just to use to 800cc and more, power. ‘19. 129. 1900 miles on it. Clean sled. Just put 50 on it today with the wife, trail riding, and another 20 riding two tracks with the neighbors later on this afternoon. Don’t worry Karen2Karen. That windshield is only staying because I’m being cheap and don’t want to buy another trail permit this late in the year. Gonna do shock and clutch service this summer. Needs hyfax. Everything else checks out good so far. Previous owner did a complete chain case service 500 miles ago but knowing me, I’ll probably do another one before the beginning of next season. I buy Polaris chai case oil by the gallon with so many sleds in the family to maintain.
  4. Finally rode with this Mission helmet. Holy shit is it warm. No way I could ride with the chin curtain in. That might have something to do with the fact that this new sled has a 10’ tall windshield on it too though. I can’t seem to figure out how to get the rubber mask deal to sit up on the bridge of my nose and my cheeks. Even then though, solid helmet. Great range of vision and even the base model is nice and light.
  5. Oh I’m sure some of them are. Most of them from your way are staying over Ishpeming and west though.
  6. I actually strictly avoid all of the popular places. They were good 10-15 years ago. Now they’re over run with 20 year old riding wheelies all day on their Summits with Jaws cans on them.
  7. Pretty sure that meth and weed have out paced drinking. It’s just not as socially acceptable.
  8. Yeah I missed the sell high part but oh well. I don’t have shit into the two sleds I have right now. I could still sell both and easily break even and I’m perfectly ok with that.
  9. Yeah some clubs excel at using social media to their advantage some just get their asses kicked in by it. Either way, I think there is still a ride or two left in the season. So, as long as it’s still around when I get him from this work trip next week, I think I’m going to pull the trigger on the 21 XCR that I’ve been looking at. Might as well buy a new to me sled in a winter like this.
  10. Drove through there last Monday, before this last warm up and it looked really good. I’ve never ridden quite all of the way into the Soo before. Might have to try it one of these days.
  11. Two different groups of riders there though. Most everyone that usually rides the lower will at least go to the central/eastern UP during bad conditions in the lower. Typically most riders in the western UP are from Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota. I am currently 7 hours north of SSM and I can tell you that it was almost 50 up here Tuesday afternoon and rained from late Tuesday until mid day yesterday. Then, at noon yesterday it was in the mid 30s. By 2 pm it was 12 and by 5 pm it was 4 with -12 wind chills. The rain turned to blowing snow around 1 and went until about 10 pm. Just a crazy ass winter.
  12. So why do you guys feed into it? He only posts to rile people up. If the guy really believed everything he posted, he wouldn’t be hanging out here. He will either get bored with you guys or once an election swings opposite of the kind, he will then disappear again for a while.
  13. Yes. I did notice while riding at night the headlights on the Maytrx are definitely not at good as they are on the Axys.
  14. Buying what could be the last model year bothers me though because I plan to actually use it for what it was intended for. That’s why I’ve never been into collector cars or anything like that.
  15. Seems like people are 50/50 on the ergos. They either like it or the don’t. I wouldn’t know because I haven’t ridden an Matryx trail sled. Thought I would get the opportunity to ride the rental 650 that a buddy of mine rented when we were in the UP last month but he never offered and I wasn’t asking. I’m perfectly happy with my CC Axys chassis. Wouldn’t mind a 129 and a big bore though, tbh. Nothing is selling right now though. I have my eye on a low mileage XCR 850 but I’m having trouble pulling the trigger with both of my sleds being paid for, wanting to possibly order a new SS Camaro in the spring and oh yeah, three days in the 50’s here next week.
  16. With used sled prices the way they are, and the fact that my off trail/back country sled just sits anymore, I could be seriously enticed by a 9R XCR. Too bad it sounds like there are more and more people beginning to admit that they want to trade their Matryx chassis sleds back in for an Axys. So maybe I’ll just keep up my hunt for an Axys Indy XCR.
  17. Could be. The only other Cat riders in our riding group ride PC M’s so… I could be wrong but I don’t think he’s had one tunnel bag produced post Covid. Maybe even longer. The only bag he has been able to get built is his quick loc handlebar bag and that was like pulling teeth.
  18. Huh. Weird. Put one on my buddies 16 ZR. We got it to tie down good without much fuss that I remember. It stayed on when he smoked a tree and totaled it last year too.
  19. Anyone buying wiper blades from anywhere OTHER THAN RA, needs their fucking head examined. Other than that, I mix and match.
  20. 9.2 billion dollar surplus. Get in line for your $180 check from Gretch. https://www.wnem.com/2023/02/06/gov-whitmer-announces-amount-proposed-inflation-relief-check/
  21. If Sled Solutions could get a company to make their bags, I’d recommend their bags. I have a couple that are 10ish seasons old. Still work like new and I leave them on the sled when I power wash it.
  22. Negative. Boxed it up and sent it back. It’s replacement should be here Wednesday but I have an off trail trip this coming weekend, and a week long work trip right after that so no telling on when I’ll get to try it now.
