  1. I have no idea why people want to live in that state on the water - I guess if money is no object. I don’t want to deal with that annual threat of total destruction. Hoping things work out for my brother and his wife right now…
  2. Same thing was said about Biden 4 years ago…
  3. I guess nobody reads the NOAA “Hurricane Season” which goes until November 30 - pretty sure that’s been posted a few times.
  4. Sweet! I’ll just raise my price $25k next spring when it goes on the market! I’ll be doing my part to get these first time home buyers into a home who can afford the extra $25k now.
  5. I posted this pic I took back on May 26th in the other Florida thread, which I think matches what you spelled out (or copied)
  6. Since when - oh, 2004! There was a hurricane in December that year!
  7. Yeah, and who would a thunk it would take over 100 years to possibly have another direct hit on Tampa/St Pete!
  8. He didn’t look good on Sunday.
  9. That is the projected path! My brother along with another 4/5 couples close to them are riding it out in Safety Harbor just west of Dunedin. SH is high ground though, unlike Dunedin.
  10. You say those words often enough a people will vote for you - meanwhile the rest of society gets off their asses and does something for themselves rather than standing there with their hands out.
  11. What am I denying? If you live in a hurricane zone, yeah, your time will eventually come.
  12. Does that graph not say we are on par for a fairly average hurricane season? Think back to 2004 - Florida had 5 that year.
  13. Yup, you read correctly. I am not fooled by the fact the climate is changing. I contend it is always changing. I just want to know what politicians are going to do to prevent hurricanes from hitting land where people have chosen to live.
  14. And before you respond, here was this years hurricane forecast with their prediction and averages. Yeah, we are just shy on the average named storms this year being at ‘M’. Does this tell us that hurricanes have been happening FOREVER?? Maybe??
  15. So tell us wise one, what would politicians do differently that would prevent hurricanes from hitting land…
  16. Let’s play the “Since when…” 2004 come to mind? All joking aside, my family is trying to convince my brother and his wife into leaving - glad I don’t live there.
  17. Stick bugs! Caught a pic of one in Central Sconnie a couple years back - not the same head and eyes though…
  18. Political posturing from the north aside, this is looking like a big one. Going to be an interesting week in Florida. @Kivalo you be safe if you actually head that way. I wish I could convince my brother out of staying put, Safety Harbor where he is won’t be a flood concern, but 150mph winds are a different story.
  19. This is the question I had - what the fuck difference in how we voted, going to change the weather??
  20. My brother is in Safety Harbor - he’s staying. Not so sure about that… but he’s been lucky for almost 20 years.
  21. Central Sconnie, Clark County specifically is colored pretty good - west of there should be better next weekend, just starting to turn…
  22. You don’t ever sled out of there?
  23. Is it really surprising when one party controls everything how this happens?? And what’s even less surprising is how there is zero fucks given. The “they have good intentions” should not be the excuse.
  24. That’s getting after it! How often do you get to do that??
