  1. .... So what's the primary form of injection ?
  2. Huh ? So in order to have a valid opinion I shouldn't own a few, repair tune diagnose maintain adjust summerize and winter prep dozens of them then ?? Sense you do not make. I clearly stated it was a Demo and reported on it's mileage and condition. I apologize for the retard reference, it's term I over use and typically say jokingly. It helps me cope
  3. The 1 production year 03 Rev Beaver Tail is exactly and all I was referring to, they actually had a falling rate in the SC-3 skid. Put a tunnel over the Monkey Bars and I'd look at the Polaris... or just put a good skid in the Indy with an 800 and Polaris will gain back a huge market share. Having the oil pump adjustable is key for them too. Seems so simple to me but they won't give up on the Meccano set.
  4. I'll talk s l o w e r... The 13 Indy had a tunnel, it was OK to ride. The new 800 Polio sore ass has a ridiculous Monkey Bar set (aka Polio crutches) out back that nullifies carrying or towing anything significant. The Beaver Tail is 14 year old technology that claims to be the only way to achieve linear rising rate rear suspension on a snowmobile.... uh... R motion. It sounds like it's an awesome trail sled and fn fast but it's useless to me without a tunnel.
  5. It's dealer demo you fucking retard Party on Wayne...
  6. Ironic they are green and blue
  7. Just because it's unmoderated here do you guys have to throw shit at each other every day, it's nausiating.
  8. I haven't talked shit about another brand and I admit I don't have much faith in BRP 2 Strokes, That being said, I repeatedly got 5500 miles out of 4 consecutive Ptek 800's with richer needles and pilots before a rebuild, That's pretty fn good IMO and they were not easy miles. I know several guys with 800 eTecs with 8000 trouble free miles. The shit talk has been all over the new 850 and my demo has no set up at all, I don't even know what peak RPM should be. It's on the original uncleaned belt and no adjustments to the skidframe or clutching at all since delivery, this is exactly how it came ~1200 km ago. The Poo 800 seems to run great #'s with less claimed HP, clutching and track angles are key. I owned a 2013 Indy, it was OK to ride but that abortion outback completely nullifies any possibility of owning one with a water access cottage I live at at least 3 nights a week and destination rides. The dealer that this demo came from sold 60 850's and none have blown up and they come with 4 years warranty to back up their reliability claims. The Cat 4 year warranty makes their 800 interesting if it's as reliable as the 600, that's been a good motor. But that's where the reliability with Cat ends, sorry. Yamaha... well I ride alone and on lakes constantly and can't afford a winch. To each their own, they all have their plusses for their owners to boast about but the BRP shit is the most reliable and has the best resale. Why anyone would expect the 850 2 stroke twin to keep up to a questionably rated 180 HP turbo 4 stroke on the lake is beyond me... hey neither one can catch a 98 T-Cat either LoL. Cheers
  9. Got the GPS figured out, 205K was 113 MPH. Dreamometer off by 12% and some track slip on the lumpy ice. Either way that's pretty damn fast for lumpy ice, 129" x 1.25" track with 90 studs and track tension at dealer spec... way too tight.
  10. Tarp it like a tent and get a construction heater, you'll have to juggle the venting but hang a thermometer inside. Make sure the heater is drawing fresh air, not heated air from inside the tent.
  11. Tons of ice on Weslemkoon, trucks are all over it. The studded 129" 850 TNT is a demo and I'm more than impressed with it. I've had a 2014 800 eTec Gade for a few w/ends and liked the easy drive ability and easy throttle response compared to the 1200 with ITC. Got out on some crispy but surprisingly good trails I'm the north end of MPSC and the 850 is comfy and fn fast. I'll be pricing one for sure and I swore off 2 strokes years ago. Instant power anywhere, long legs, easy steering with the wider ratio an predictable transfer. So much easier to drive than the 1200 and way faster. I'll try for some comparisons today but it was pulling 115 mph on the lake. Nice buggy and a big surprise.
  12. Been on 4 strokes for a,while, this new 850 is fn nice. Rough ice, 220# driver, full tank of gas, 1/2 mile
  13. Some dude is out there breaking them with just his thumb 4 yr warranty is a good deal if you have a scrap sled to drop off, unless Cat denies the warranty claims after the work is done and screws all their dealers again. Who needs warranty with a Cat anyway
  14. Has or will Textron continue with the chassis/engine deal after 2018 ML ?
  15. A Ford 4x4 over 160K, absolutely
  16. Meaning it looks like it went without lube jackass
  17. Huh ?? Have you driven a Ram ? They drive tighter than all of them, handle and perform better and hold up well. I had GM for years but that latest GM truck is butt fn ugly and quiet possibly the slowest thing you react I've ever driven. I've had a few as rentals and they actually piss me off to drive. The 5.0L Ford is nice, they're flimsy compared to the Ram and still risky with high mileage for repairs and resale but I'd buy the 5.0L The GM is quieter, I'll give it that
  18. I can't see how you couldn't tow anything with the Hemi and the 8 speed, I drive 80+K a year and think about diesel every truck but with any foresight to an oncoming hill you can roll up at max GVWR for a half ton and never go past 3600 RPM. Even the 6 spd is good in 4th gear. I'd only consider the 2500/3500 Cummins or Duramax with ext warranty and the resale is great on them.
  19. Ya think ?!?! You guys are screwed for trillions
  20. How do we make aftermarket exhaust modifying decibel mufflers illegal to possess in Ontario ? I like the sound of any ripping engine but they are destroying years of dedication and commitment to this sport and access to those willing to allow access to their private property. The only exclusion would be closed competition with a permit. The noise, revelry and disrespect has to stop and it seems pretty simple to me. Accused and found with a can and you're fined and it's confiscated. No ??
  21. S'alright buddy, it happens to lots of men
