  1. Well boom or bust on the Superbowl, the game lacked excitement in my own personal view but its also about the half time show which a few minutes in I wandered off to the garage to polish my sled what can I say.SJ
  2. Lets face it every generation has its thing if you are old enough to have been around the hay days of the seventy,s every kid grew up wanting to be a oval track hero like the Villeneuve,s or my personal favorite Yvon Duhamel so when of age we roared the trails like a cross country race circuit sometimes with full blown expansion chambers, then things moved on and snow cross evolved and the youth of that time it was Blair Morgan and other champions so the trails turned to sno cross courses here and there, now in fashion are back country riders /mountain deep pow and the blue ball keeps spinnin, every generation of sledder has its own challenges I imagine that there is a virtual gold mine of Bosch spark plugs strewn across the north as we use to leave home with a pocket full and as many belts as we could carry just to get a ride in,,the early year,s nearly all sleds were noisy some Evinrude/Johnson models were the exception which in part were developed by Olav Aaen who in latter years built rude H.P motors that plied many trails. It is a challenge that this generation has to deal with to figure out just how to keep our trails sustainable,or maybe they wont and it will be a powder free for all hard to say,its a tough call I see wrapped and specialized sleds everywhere and though not my personal cup of tea its good to see that there is still interest in the sport as old P.O.S,s like myself will be sleddin off world sooner rather than later,it will sort itself out as did drinking and driving once a rite of passage now my own offspring do house party,s with DD,s and taxi to bars time change it just takes awhile.Sno Joe
  3. This ones for you O Dot1 couple years back shortly after leaving a popular fuel/restaurant i came across a trail side check the officer walked up asking for my paper work I always keep it in my inside pocket and it was cold as it could get so I was preparing to dismount pull of gloves and fetch the ownership when the silence was broken a swarm of bees were coming complete with backpacks and no need for a seat on the sled, the officer looked me in the eye and said you sir have a nice day be on your way and turned towards the oncoming horde I smiled and exited LOL.Joe
  4. LMAO yep or buying a monster truck to run at Mosport, how very true its something I have noticed the past few years i have seen alot of what i would class pure mountain sleds on the trails with deeeeep tracks and yes backpacks with Iam sure avalanche beacons makes me laugh must be a wormhole somewhere in British Columbia and poof they are in Ontario, but I also know they are going off trail somewhere to fun it up with those purpose built sleds and thats a issue generally or they are extreme posers in the wrong province.Joe
  5. My brother is a farmer landowner with a well established trail running thru part of his land, and a sledder himself,we talked awhile back about this as he is getting feed up as well although he is not overly upset about the noise he does detest the two stroke yappy cans and that for the most part the rest sound like his tractor, his biggest gripe is pretty close to what Fozzy has stated broken belts tossed not stowed other garbage and sleds leaving the marked trail is a biggy and wheelers and dirt bikes accessing the trail in the off season,Iam not condoning exhaust mods by no means just what we discussed.Joe
  6. Seen and rode with friends with 650 triple Polaris years ago with in excess of 10 thou miles on Northern Tours engines never apart and they were not having issues, those Fuji engines for the most part were rocks.Joe
  7. Here its 1.18 per liter Premium fuel so that works out to about $4.46 a U.S gallon boy this country wants to entice American sledders to come up here LMAO so I go down the trail throwing a 5 dollar bill every 14 or so miles I think our motto is sea to shining sea but we cant afford the trip.Joe To bring that a little more into focus it would be 3 36 USD or 63.8 Peso,s for the Mexican sledder.LOL
  8. Boy tough call 2 hrs I would think your best bet would be southwestern Ontario like Kitchener area and Northwest of there lots of open roads its country out there and they have been getting hit this past few days travelling north say to Barrie or further terrible traffic and not sure they have much if any snow.Joe

  11. LMAO as a Boomer cant say your wrong it was a time of excess that we were sure we were owed every generation has its issues, check out the Urban Dictionary punch in Baby Boomer its a hoot.Old Joe

  13. I feel bad for all the Canadian Auto workers in this country that have been displaced over the last 20 or so years the auto sector was once a backbone of this province as well as farming all gone, now that our neighbor and friend Mr trump is building a wall and shutting out Mexico i fear that I will run out of parts to fix my POS GM cause iam pretty sure no parts made here in Ontario hopefully he doesn't mine the harbors and restrict parts from China or i might as well scrap my GM.Joe
  14. What is the ACC Blackstar i went to what i thought was one of the first it was in TO at the Rogers center I guess i didnt see one there I was busy getting beer in the main hall at 5 or 8 bucks a cup and then back in to toke on two stroke fumes all in all it was a fun night.Joe
  15. Not much into politics its a slippery slope at best and we are stud less it either works or it dont thankfully we get a attempt at changing the leaders from time to time,be it what it may Iam pretty sure that piling another 1 million immigrants into this country is the not the answer to our problems call me a dick if you want but Iam pretty sure its not going to help the current economy and jobless rate I live in hope that the oas/cpp has enough left in it to get a measly pension for me and the wife after working all our lives here in Canada.Shoeless Joe
  16. No kidding wow then just scrap aluminum,I didnt realize that what a waste guess the fellas that stood tall and paid up got screwed pretty hard to bad it would have been nice to have seen yet another snowmo upstart to compete with the big guys, snowmobiles have become so complicated and specialized that it would be near impossible to compete in the performance market nowadays the only shot any more would only be in the starter market but that market is dead it seems or the big boys would be flooding the market with low buck fun sleds,it seems that if your young and in the sport you are for the most part hard core performance orientated or old with a few bucks and getting the sled you always wanted regardless of the fact you cant ride it like it should be rode LOL speaking for myself here its hard to pose properly with little hair on your head and lots everywhere else.Joe
  17. I would give em a call or you have a account go online I have contacted the president of the OFSC thru E Mail not long ago and was answered within a day or two they seem to check the E Mails regularly just have your info in order IE:trail pass number Iam sure they will fix you up the phone number and Email listed on the OFSC site good luck.Joe

  19. Lmao Poncho I read today a youth killed in a Tesla auto crashed doing 115 mph in a 30 zone and the family is suing Tesla WTF is that all about if you are such a Fuc**** moron to put all innocent people at risk that are out and about then you deserve what ya get how is it that it is the cars fault so what next someone shoots somebody and sues the gun manufacture what a world we now live in thankfully Iam at the tail end of life it was a good run in thirty more years what will it be like, I give a lot of credit to the Odots out there I couldn't do their job without going postal.Joe
  20. That makes things much clearer the media grabs this and it blows out of context and I just needed to hear it from your side,Iam not going to be hiding behind my chesterfield doors locked T.V off listening for Goose stepping squads marching up to my front door LOL life as normal thanks Odot1.Joe
  21. Now that would be a conversation starter to have and take out from time to time, seems like AK has unusual things kicking around it was just a couple years back when there was new in the box 02 Yamaha SRX sleds for sale up there makes you wonder how many motorsports items sit in some warehouse like time capsules,I would purchase one of those old Revolts at that price just for fun but it would cost damn near the price of it to have it shipped.Joe
  22. Odot 1 could you please clarify how the revised drinking and driving law works in regards to being at home and having a beverage within the two hours after arriving ,with no intention of leaving is this still touchy ground Iam not understanding this new law completely,I may be a old souse but when Iam in for the day and sleds are in the garage I mix up one or more of my favorite beverages and feet up by the fire just sayin.Joe
