Medical bills are the #1 cause of bankruptcy in the US. It costs everybody more. And in the US they make employers pay for your health insurance, or lack of. It's a fucking stupid system that fucks everybody except the healthy and wealthy. And we already socialize the elderly and poor health care, but oh no we can't have adequate health coverage for everybody, that's socialism! The general rule is the less you make the better off you are in Canada, the more it swings to the USA. At what point that happens is up for debate, but that is no doubt the case.
