Yep, voted for him and pretty happy with what he’s done just in this very short time.

Maga still doesn’t understand they are cheering for higher taxes.  Fucking epic.

in the event he does get what was asked with the border and still gets aggressive with tariffs, it will hurt the consumers here for sure.

the retaliation will hurt consumers over in the states as well.

the dummies that think it won't effect them are delusional. 100 billion in discounted oil and ungodly amount of hydroelectricity being jacked up to compensate will hurt. theres no way it won't.

particularly with all these big plans, they will need more of both then they ever have. its not hard to see its in the best interest of both to avoid a trade war. unless you are  talking to a rah rah we da best ' insufferable toolbag. They just don't know better. consumers on both sides suffer, not gain.

If he forgets to tariff energy we should assume he was senile and just forgot.  Then help him out by putting 25% in export duties. Use that money to start building our own refineries so we can sell to Europe.
How hard does Merca have to work to prove they are an unreliable trading partner?

i think hes done alot of good solid choices  and wants the border sured up.its a good way to motivate both mexico and canada to do what they should be doing to begin with. if thats achieved and decides to go for the throat of there top trading partner after thats done, we can trade elsewhere / manufacture our oil / lng/ electricity ourselves and cut them out of there share, among other things.

greenlighting energy east ' pipeline to sell interprovinicially and refine our own / sell to our own vs sell cheap as dirt crude and buy back at a premium from the states alone is a big deal. The rest can be shipped overseas.people talking like this can't happen and they won't need it ' are in for a rude awakening and should be careful what they wish for. gas/oil prices effect all goods, not just at the pumps.

punching there bestfriend in the mouth isn't smart. theres a reason he offered that 51st spot.despite his rhetoric, he knows what we got they need. notice mexico wasn't offered induction  into the states? yeah, theres reasons.we aren't columbia.

lets see how this goes.I predict alot of effort will be put in to fix the border security of both countries  and none of this becomes reality. If he puts a hurting on us after doing what he originally asked in good faith,  expect major changes in how both sides deal with the other, or don't at all. It will not be a one sided ass kicking without consequence like the mouth breathers are dreaming of.

they can sing the star spangled banner while pumping there 10 bucks a gallon if they want to. congrats, i guess :lolz:do the ymca dance while they open there monthly doubled electricity bill.

huuge win .bigly. Do this while tariffing a huge manufacturing giant like china and cutting off there ties in the un / nato is brilliant timing. surely all these starving for oil / lng countries won't buy canadian ......or if it gets too stupid bullying every other country in the world unfairly, maybe a collective ok go fuck yourselves too' could happen.

Theres markets outside the usa. gasppp, i know.unthinkable.:jawdrop:

its more then milk and maple syrup, dummies.this could be a net positive in a way.It could be whats needed to get ottawa's head out there ass and start greenlighting our major projects and do some drill baby, drilling of our own.

if the states goes to war with china or russia or iran , im sure they won't miss all that oil at all.war machines run on bald eagles and cheeseburgers now i guess ? :poke:.  stupid talk.

Lots of good points.  If this doesn’t prove that the U.S. is no longer a reliable trading partner, friend and ally of Canada then we are idiots.

Looking back to 9/11 Merca was afraid to let plane full of Americans land at their airports in case they were part of a larger attack.  We allowed them to land in Canada turning our cities into possible targets.  What are the chances of them doing the same?  Did they stand up for us when we detained a Chinese national at their request and China went after our citizens?  No fucking way.
If the Canadian embassy was attacked in a foreign country, do you think the Administration would put their embassy at risk like we did in Iran?  Once again no fucking way and the MAGA pieces of shit in here would support that cowardice.

So although we have benefited from the might of the U.S. military in some ways, in reality they are the only ones who have threatened our sovereignty.

Also as far as trade is concerned that orange turd signed a trade deal that he claimed was the best one ever.  Claimed he won and was brilliant. Now he won’t honour that deal. Why would we believe he would honour any future deals?

We have to refine our own oil, run power lines to share power provincially instead of with the U.S. and reduce our reliance on them as a trading partner starting with oil because we can wipe out the trade deficit with that alone.

Any business that has one customer taking 70% of their exports is vulnerable. When that customer becomes untrustworthy you have to make tough decisions.

He never thinks anything through.  People are winding themselves up trying to work out what his plan is. Problem is they are academics working it out from a knowledge base.  Trump is a chaos monkey throwing shit everywhere.

No economist agrees that there is a gain to tariffs. But Trump isn’t playing to educated people. He’s playing to you.

This is a calm factual discussion from an intelligent person who will hopefully be our next pm.

Your county would not have taken the risk for us that we took for you on 9/11.
Yes we are idiots for trusting you.

Might as well make up fake crimes as retaliation for Trump appointed judges charging Trump the felon with real crimes.

Funny how one sided you are.

“ I need you to find votes”

”I need you to investigate Joe Biden”

“Come to the capital and fight like hell or you won’t have a country” are nothing burgers

Did you watch that boring YouTube video ?

You wouldn’t like it. Just boring facts like 1% of the fentanyl coming from Canada and according to arrests all by Americans.

Carney is smart, educated and experienced so you’ll hate him.

Completely different context. If you like inflation then I guess they work.  That is NOT what we need right now.

Exactly what happened.

As examples, he raised tariffs on:

-Steel - result was rampant growth in the cost of cars, canned goods & appliances

-Chinese tariffs on shit goods: laptops, smartphones, tvs, furniture all inflated their prices

-Solar panels.  Prices jump more than 10% nearly instantly

-Ag: Caused a $28b aid check to be written to farmers to prevent inflation

They were great...if you like inflation.
