He was here for a concert and just walking around Canal Park (our tourist trap area) just browsing the local shops with a buddy. No security guard or anything. Anyway. He was browsing this one ladies shop my wife knows and in the small talk, she asked what brought him to Duluth? (she had no idea who he was). He said, "The concert". "Oh", she said, "you a fan of the band playing"? He just said, "Yeah....you could say that". Now he's just as cool as a cucumber and she thinks he's just some pot smoking rocker dude. So as he is buying his trinkets and shit, she told him to enjoy the concert, he said "I always do. I'm in the band" and Introduced himself. She had no idea who he was. He asked her if she had kids and to call them and ask them if they know who he was...well, they did. He talked to them over the phone and gave them all front row tickets to his show, then...on his way he went. She said she had no idea how big time he was...he never acted like he was anything more than a local music lover there for the show. I mean...that's just fucking cool as hell. We gat a ton of big names up here...surprisingly actually for a small town. Lots of music lovers. And I can promise you, not all act like he did.
