Maybe if so many of them weren't corrupt hellholes they'd be able to manage their economies better.  There can only be so many people we can let into this country, and we're well past that.

Both the US and Europe is being overrun by people from countries that are either heavily sanctioned or war torn by the US. It’s a difficult reality to accept, but true. American politics contributed to a large degree this current migration. Every single president and congress since JFK is guilty.

Sincere question, why is that on the bold? IMHO, from people that I have met from C-A and S-A they always say that there is such a huge divide between the rich and powerful and the poor and powerless. Has been that way for years. How have we affected that?

Wars, sanctions, and covert undermining of stable governments by the CIA. You think the migration is bad in America, take a look at what’s happening in Europe. All those people are coming from countries that were victimized by American and western policy.

Thats a bleeding heart perspective that your link took.  Are we going to dissect 80 years of our foreign policy, along with the governance of all these latin American countries during that time?  If not, we're not examining the issue fairly.  At the end of the day, we owe these countries nothing.

While you aren't completely wrong the entire issue isn't the US's fault alone.   Inherent corruption, desire for socialism even communism has been in those countries forever.  That isn't solely on the shoulders of the US the the fix isn't open borders for billions of people worldwide.

Do you take the same stance on us causing the shit going on with Russia/Ukraine?

How about American politicians just leave them the fuck alone.

My post indicated that American policy contributed to large degree to what’s happening in these countries. I didn’t say the problems were solely caused by the US.

As the Ukraine/Russian conflict has progressed, it’s become apparent that the Europeans aren’t carrying their share of the burden. At this point it’s rather moot as Russia’s ability to carry out any large scale, non-nuclear offensive has been canceled.

Sounds good. A lot of our ealier involvment was an attempt to stop the spread of communism. Same reason why we were in Vietnam.

Such as israel and Egypt? The biggest sucks of all?

I wasn't thinking militarily, more on helping with infrastructure and such. I'm sure that the swamp helps getting contracts for roads and other projects. I'm sure that there is a lot of inter governmental red tape.

Oh, absolutely, but we know that won’t be happening. Too much money in it for them.
