Of course….keep em’ dumb so they might vote red

Every state has a DOE....why do you need that large federal agency? How many kids do they teach?

Federal DOE started under Carter....are our schools doing better now or then?

Again, repubs want spending cuts, but dems keep arguing against them,  wtf?

Where were the spending cuts from 2017-2021?  Specifically 2017-2019….Can you provide a list with dollars saved….:snack:

Take a good look at how this current government shutdown started:  A 6.9 trillion proposal that would spend 1.8 trillion more than the government would take in.  That's the idiocy currently in the White House.

President Biden unveiled his budget on Thursday, a $6.9 trillion proposal that would include spending on his long-standing pledges like universal preschool, paid leave and more childcare funding.

Over the longer term, the White House says Biden's plan would reduce the deficit, thanks in large part to tax hikes on corporations and the rich. But in fiscal 2024, it would spend $1.8 trillion more than the government would take in.

Since Congress controls the purse strings — and Republicans control the House of Representatives — the plan is more of a political exercise than a practical roadmap for spending. Rather, it's an opening volley in a high stakes political fight over government funding and the debt ceiling, and is something that Biden can point to during what's expected to be a second run for the White House in 2024.

Why do government shutdowns happen under Repug House control while annual budget deficits increase under Repug administration control? :snack:

Have you been living under a rock for the past 20 years?  Start doing some searching, dims rely on ignorance of people like you to constantly and conveniently try and ask the same shit over and over.  Remember what happened the last shutdown, when dems would not agree to the spending cuts?  It's the same thing over and over with democrats.

My link lists party in house, senate and president....spending originates in the house....Dim houses spend more.

dims in general spend more.  But according to people here, that's just fine, since they tell everyone that they are going to spend more.  How idiotic is that.

Remember in 2019 when pelosi and the dems would not except any spending cuts?  Yeah, here we go again.  The blatant lack of wanting to cut any spending is staring these people in the faces and they still are trying to blame republicans.
