Doug
I received an email from Polaris that I had a sled effected by this stop ride recall. If you are the 2nd or more owner you may not have received an email but may have a sled effected go to the below link and select search in VIN and key in your VIN number. https://www.polaris.com/en-us/off-road-recalls/ If you are the original owner and just want to check select My Garage. If you don't have an account you will need to create one. Log into your account and select garage it will list your sled and if they are effected by a recall
Bontz
Same here, and thankfully the '23 VR1 that I picked up (and haven't even ridden yet) is unaffected. My '22 XCR is, which I'll need to get squared away prior to trying to sell it later this Summer/Fall. Thanks Doug!
Mag6240
I wish my 2021 XCR was on there for a new clutch - at 11,000 I'm having them rebuilt this fall. Our club pres has his 2022 XCR 850, and his snow checked 2024 XCR 850 on the recall list. He hopes one of them will be ready by 12/1.

The 2022 XCR that I'm trading in is on the recall and the 2023 VR1 is not. Heard nothing on the 2024 XCR 850 on order and it still has a 7-26 to 8-16 ship date. We'll see
Bontz
Weird that the '23 models (at least Doug's and mine) aren't on the list but a new '24 is? For the high mileage guys, as much as it sucks to see a Stop Ride it's kinda nice knowing your machine will have a new/clean clutch going on it. And I'd keep riding mine while I wait for the fix - just like everyone should have done with the fuel tank recall.

Gold Member poopooforme Posted July 25, 2023 Gold Member Share Posted July 25, 2023 Man this was a problem with my 2016. I was on the V500 when my ring gear came loose and shattered in my belly pan. How nothing got damaged or wires cut is beyond me. Dealer warrantied it and said they were using the wrong color locktite. Ya think?? So for this shit to happen again.... come on man!!!
Bontz
@poopooforme - same thing on my '16 Pro-X. Except on mine, it took out my oil reservoir's oil line, and chewed up part of the secondary. Warranty covered it, and thankfully my buddy didn't take any shrapnel when it went while he was riding it.
