Only top 43% pay federal income taxes in US. Upper class in US is 21 percent. They pay most of the taxes. Middle class is 50% of the US population. So only 22% of the middle class pay federal income taxes. 21%+22%= 43% that pay income taxes. And you need more income to pay income taxes in a meaning full amount with our graduated tax brackets. Much of the middle class that pays income taxes pays peanuts do to our tax brackets. 28% of the middle class pay no federal income taxes.. none of the low class pay income taxes. So any tax credits or deductions never come out of the pockets of most of the middle or lower class cause they pay absolutely nothing in on income taxes. They pay nothing towards the almost 900 billion in annual military spending. Nothing in the 1.7 trillion spending package.
