ckf
300 Top 10''s in 600 starts seems pretty good to me. Especially when most of them were when he was in a RCR car. Quote Kevin Harvick will make his 600th Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series start on Saturday night at Richmond Raceway. Harvick made his first career start on Monday, February 26, 2001 at Rockingham. In his 599 starts so far he has won a championship and 36 Cup races. He has finished second 50 times and earned 300 top 10s.

With the growing threat of Hurricane Irma, Talladega Superspeedway will offer a portion of its campgrounds – which will include hot shower and restroom facilities, as well as water hookups on gravel and grassy areas – free to evacuees seeking temporary refuge, beginning Thursday (Sept. 7) morning at 9 am CDT. The mammoth 2.66-mile track, which has the largest amount of property in NASCAR, is opening its Winner’s Walk I reserved RV area outside of turn one – a free, safe destination for individuals needing a place to bring their campers, trailers and vehicles to escape the wake of this potentially catastrophic storm. In addition to the showers and restrooms, Winner’s Walk I is a reserved area allowing both RV and tent camping on the grass and gravel. The beautiful tree-lined area also contains two dump stations. “Our track is committed to helping our friends in Florida and the surrounding states during this time of need,” Talladega Superspeedway Chairman Grant Lynch stated of the venue, which is located just off I-20 between Atlanta (GA) and Birmingham, AL. “We hope to provide a sense of relief by offering a place to stay for no charge for evacuees during this time of adversity. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in the path of the storm.” Directional Signage will be at the main entrance of the track. Upon driving on track property, signage will be displayed to gain easy access to Winner's Walk I. It's not like there wasn't some merit to his comment. 9 minutes ago, Biggie Smails said: Refresh my memory on that... Kevin Harvick doesn’t fully understand why Dale Earnhardt Jr. is NASCAR’s reigning 14-time most popular driver when he’s not “anywhere close” to the sport’s most successful driver. While on his SiriusXM radio show Happy Hours, Harvick touched on the growth – or lack thereof – in NASCAR and its fan base and placed the blame on Earnhardt. As Junior rounds the race tracks for his final appearances before retiring at the end of the season, Harvick said he doesn’t think more fans are showing up to see their favorite driver for the last time, and it’s because of Earnhardt’s struggles not only this season but throughout his career. Earnhardt missed the second half of the 2016 season after suffering a concussion, and his last race win was in November of 2015. He won the pole for the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway in July.
