Funny story from years ago down here in the south. The section 8 housing (projects) were an eyesore (go figure) so, the city passed a budget bill to do a complete make over of the landscaping. Within a week after it being installed, most trees and shrubs were ripped out of the ground. LOL..that's not the funny part. The funny part is, they re-did it and SURPRISE...all stolen again. They built a whole new condo looking section 8 projects here to demolish the old shit that was causing big problems around the civic center stadium. I mean...they looked like upper end apartments with nice entrances and rock accents. Even put it further north in a nice part of town to allow them more access to shopping and essentials. Guess what those "condos" look like now. Guess what shopping establishments are no longer around. Take a guess as to what area there is now housing on the cheap. Humans, like all cancers, are causing issues but, the issues we are causing are minimal on climate and for sure, all civilized nations are causing the least. India and China are the biggest polluters by a long fucking stretch and until we can get them and other "developing countries" to commit in some way (and committing is not taking our money and laughing at us, see "Paris Accord"), this is just another tax that will be spent on DC's desires. Lol the funny thing is 1 town over so call it a 5 min drive they made them shut down the trailer park lol and it was on the lake with pretty much 8 to 10 double wide deals . There is a town on same lake called Wayzata it is money . The kind if town people pay 500k to tear down a house and build what they want not even on the water . Well met council made them add a percentage of affordable housing units when the developer bought a mall and turned it in to million+ condos and retail and assisted living .
