yami123
It’s about 20 miles from my house. The amount of smoke was pretty wild. Edited June 15, 2021 by yami123

I did not but my buddy I work with lives less then a mile from it. He said he heard it walked out and felt the heat from it. From what I heard the smoke in the air was a good 40 miles long. There saying 5-7 days before it’s totally burnt out.

What exactly is burning chemical wise? What was the initial fuel?

I believe they make different types of lubricant and grease. Possibly DEF for diesels as well.

racinfarmer
The smoke looks as bad as the scrap yard fire we had here a year or so ago.
racer254
It will be interesting on the clean up and EPA responses to this. BTW, Chemtool is owned by Lubrizol. Berkshire Hathaway is the parent company of Lubrizol and we all know Warren Buffet is the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. Edmo
I had a customer that was a big chemical plant. I really did not like going there. They were always on the news for some kind of leak, explosion, fire, etc. Can you imagine what those employees were exposed to on a daily basis? It can’t be good.
