Liberals introduce buy-back program for banned firearms

Those who keep their blacklisted weapons would have to abide by strict conditions. They would have to agree not to use the weapons, to import or acquire any more of them or to bequeath them to anyone else.

There was a good show on a few years ago about each of the 50 states and how they came to be.   Often they talked generally about certain things each states historical residents found important based off that's states history.   Same can be said about a whole country.

Our system of balance between State’s Rights and Federal laws and regulations is about as good as the world has ever seen but, it’s been clear for decades that DC has been giving itself too much power and it needs a trim back as it’s becoming more and more common to infringe on states and their constitutions for no good reason.

DC is not supposed to be national rulers.

Actually, Canada is the only country to have  turned away American forces not once, but three different times in history.  So, put a goose feather in your trapper hat!

And what’s wrong with your geese?  I like ‘em.

Nope.  Pretty much was a draw.  Neither side gained or lost much.

Peace negotiations began in August 1814, and the Treaty of Ghent was signed on 24 December 1814. The treaty was unanimously ratified by the United States Senate on 17 February 1815, ending the war with no boundary changes,[18][19] except for some islands in Passamaquoddy Bay, an issue that was resolved after the war.[20] In the related Creek War, General Jackson besieged the city of Pensacola - a Spanish Territory, West Florida, where a two-day battle for the city of Pensacola ended in Spanish surrender.[21] Spain eventually ceded control of Florida to the United States in 1819

We?  You mean the Crown, Indian allies and Spain?

Like I said neither side lost or gained much and would have cause to claim "victory."

Land offensive operations were initially limited to the American-Canadian border and the western frontier, with help from its Indian allies. Leaving the initiative to the Americans. However American military defeats at the Siege of Detroit and the Battle of Queenston Heights thwarted attempts to seize the British colony of Upper Canada, improving British morale. American attempts to invade British Lower Canada and capture Montreal also failed.[15] In 1813, the United States won the Battle of Lake Erie, gaining control of the lake; and defeated Tecumseh's Confederacy at the Battle of the Thames. This defeat of Britain's most important Indian ally, thereby reducing resistance to expansion of their western frontier achieved a primary US war goal. The Americans made a final attempt to invade the Canadas, but the Battle of Lundy's Lane during the summer of 1814 was fought to a draw and ended the attempt. Also in 1814, using their naval mobility the British burned Washington (including the White House and the Capitol), but the Americans later repulsed British attempts to invade New York and Maryland, ending attacks into the northern and mid-Atlantic states.

agreed.   the courts are there to make sure the states don't overstep their bounds but the states should be in charge of most decisions.   But too often red or blue they keep coming to the feds for handouts and help and it's like heroin.    Becomes an addiction and you do anything for the next taste
