Canada's death rate per infection is almost 60% higher than ours with statistics coming from both countries.   Spin it any which way you want but that's significant.

Sounds like Canadian's might just be weaker  :news:

15.8 million cases for 331.8 million Americans = 4.7%

435.3 thousand cases for 37.1 million Canucks = 1.1 %

US test percentage is 2 x Canada so you could double Canada to 2.2% in theory.

What’s the test positivity rate in Canada vs US?  But if our numbers doubled then our mortality rate would sink lower. But I doubt that is the case.

Today Ontario, while not perfect thanks to Drug Ford has 10 Covid deaths. Up from 0-2 daily in Late August.

Texas had 186 and only has double our population. 9 times the deaths. Freeeeeeedummmmmbbbbb!

masks are so inconvenient for snowflakes.

All of the areas where spikes are happening masks are required. Masks wont save you from the COVID

You going to take one of the US vaccines?

The German or British one makes more sense. Question is are you. Trump refused to order enough.  What a buffoon.

Masks save you from spreading it. That’s why shithole countries full of selfish pricks see such low levels of mask wearing.

280,000 dead Mercans prove you wrong.

58%  more Canadians that test positive have died than American's who test positive.  There I  proved you wrong.

Well I'd say the mortality rate of infected is a significant metric.....wouldn't you?   A much higher rate of infection happens with influenza in both countries without reacting in the manner we are.

So masks arent enough then? Got it

Of course not. No one has ever said they are enough.  Social distancing and wearing a mask. It’s also length of time, ventilation, the setting.
That’s why sitting in a restaurant  patio Is safer than inside with limited ventilation. It’s why singing in a choir in a poorly ventilated church is worse than protesting in the street wearing a mask.
Anyone with the slightest amount of common sense could see the difference. Yet the Fox News crowd (Before even fox couldn’t lie enough to make the Trumpanzies happy) get all worked up because bars close early and churches, funerals and weddings are restricted.

It’s difficult to go to a wedding or a funeral and not hug someone. Singing in a choir or yelling over the music in a bar causes a higher concentration of the virus from infected people to be airborne. If you take the emotion out of it that is sensible.

But I realize I’m talking math and common sense to people who think 80 million votes is less than 75 million. And common sense to people who lost the popular vote last time and declared the only thing that mattered was the electoral college.  The same people who somehow think Republican lawyers and lawmakers are in on a Democratic plot to rig the election.

66% of the Ontario deaths were long term care home residents. Didn’t you say 40% of yours were?  It think it was even higher in Quebec.

Now your extrapolating numbers out.

We have tens of millions who had the disease but never get tested.   Should we add those in?

Exwhaaaat ??

Same survival percentage as you put up and the difference is 1.1%

US Deaths/million are 2.6 times higher than Canada

If there's tens of millions that have had it and only 1.8% died then there could 360,000-540,00-720,000 more Biden votes out there
