Jon Bon Jovi was underrated but nobody compares to FM.

between four and five octaves

Jon Bon Jovi is broadly a tenor, but with a vocal range stretching between four and five octaves, giving him plenty of flexibility.

funny timing just watched Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time last night and forgot how great a set of pipes Freddie had.

lots of queen music was trash but the ones that were good were really good.  I thought the movie was great

Hard to beat Freddie that's for sure. For range, power and quality Layne Staley was outstanding also. Bent thinks William Duvall, the current singer for Alice in Chains is better than Staley. :lmao:

William Duvall is incredible. And arguably technically better than layne was. But Layne had more soul

ummmm no, there's nothing Duvall does better than Staley and you can hear it right from the master mind Jerry Cantrell. When I hear Duvall sing I just go, meh. When I hear Staley sing, goosebumps.

That’s because of Laynes soul and power.

Ability to consistently hit the notes live while putting on a show I give the edge to DuVall

ability to trigger an AMSR response I clearly give it to Layne

it’s really two different arguments

Duvall is a great writer and player as well. AIC is just an awesome powerhouse live band with him in the lineup and they’ve written just as much awesome music with him as with Layne

Axl Rose in the day was pretty hard to top

Ive seen him live x2 and I think he was literally the worst singer I've ever heard in my life

Pretty sure he was drunk and pissy

That’s a good guess considering he spent 25 years like that

I never heard much original stuff with Duvall. Just one song they played in octane and it wasn’t very good

Listen to Rainier Fog about a dozen times and it will have you hooked. Such a fucking great album
