spin_dry
Texas is being a little less than forthcoming. Hmm. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dallasnews.com/news/public-health/2020/04/14/new-death-toll-numbers-reveal-spread-of-coronavirus-in-texas-nursing-homes/%3foutputType=amp
Mainecat
There is no national data on nursing homes. Veterans homes do keep numbers on the virus. Both have taken a devastating amount of lives.

Texas has a dismal record with infections in nursing homes.
AKIQPilot
By mid March Texas was 3rd behind California and New York with the most number of confirmed CV cases. By mid April Texas has dropped to 10th place on that list and they continue to drop. Texas is the second most populated state in the union with almost 30 million people. Two of the top 5 most populated metroplexes in the country are in Texas. It seems a bit premature to cast negative light on how Texas is responding to this pandemic. Everyone on the planet knows that nursing homes were going to be hit hard with this virus. 318 people in Texas have died from CV. Even if every one of those were in nursing homes it pales in comparison to the +3000 New Yorkers who have died in Nursing homes. Old people are going to die from CV. Lots of them. This isn’t rocket science.

New York was hit by the virus first from both Europe and Asia. It’s pretty obvious why they have higher infection rates. None of that changes the fact that Texas nursing homes are the shitholes of America.
