I’m surprised that they didn’t try and contain the issue on their own. One possibility is that there might’ve been a couple different agendas splintering in China. One group that wanted to do the right thing and another was trying to tow the party line. China also turned over the virus genome to WHO shortly after reporting it. That’s interesting.
