Pressure tank that has an air filled bladder in it, the control is a simple two pole pressure switch with high and low limits, mine is set 35 lbs and 60 lbs. 6 minutes ago, COPO said: thinking about putting down some milky spore. anyone done this? to kill the grubs I don't know what the company who fertilizes my lawn uses, but I'll tell you that I went cheap several years back and quit the grub treatment and it took a few years but the moles came back in force last year. I'm going back on the grub treatment this year and I'm sticking with it! The time to treat for grubs is late summer and early fall when they are hatching and feeding. Grub info: https://www.bayeradvanced.com/articles/dealing-with-lawn-grubs I've worked at one of the Bayer test plots in NC. This mole trap is killer. On a fresh tunnel I can catch them in under an hour. I don't use poison because of my dogs. With grubs the skunks and raccoon tear shit up. I stay on top of grub control. n2oiroc
No moles here, just voles. Since i killed all excess vegetation in the field next door, im pretty sure the owl has dramatically reduced their numbers.

I have the loop one. kind of sucks where the ground is real hard, but It works ok. The biggest thing is knowing where to put it. You have to identify the active runs from the dead ones. Platinum Contributing Member Highmark Posted May 20, 2016 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted May 20, 2016 Redneck mole control. After watching this a few years ago I killed some putting some fireworks down their runs. Was afraid I was going to blow apart my sprinkler system. Cumulus Nimbus
OK, going to buy an aerator, do that, water the living piss out of it to soften it, get some good top soil spread on there and seed. Weather is still cool overnight and not too hot during the day. Hopefully I get this section as good as the rest of the lawn. Thanks for all the tips. Cumulus Nimbus
We have lots of rabbit holes. I like rabbits. They feed on the garden, no problem I don't mind sharing.
GreenStreak
I wouldn't. we have a well and I drained the fucker one year when I filled a 1500 gallon pool. there was sand coming out with a dribble of water. thankfully it recovered a couple days later. was pretty worried about it. just be careful.
