Rw06GT
I figured this was going to be about how you and spin treat your TDS patients. Oh well. No insight needed really.
Edmo
The biggest thing that will help us is cutting the govt spending and decreasing the size of govt. The problem is every single cadidate we have will not do it. From the pres to the legislators. Bush with his wars. Trump with his wall, tax cuts and increasing the military budget. And Obama and the dems with their health care for everybody, free college, and entitlement spending. It will never happen.

They aren’t going to win any election preaching austerity. You know that.

This really doesn't play much though due to the massive debacle at the end of Bush's term. The whole cycle thing is out of whack. Much of Obama's years were false actual bull market gains IMO. 2 minutes ago, xtralettucetomatoe580 said: And how many will blame Trump for it with zero economic background at all? Doesn't matter anymore. We are a nation of grouped, identity imbeciles.....and I see no way this will change.

One key ingridiant in most busts is people walking on mortgages and dumping a lot of inventory into the market in a short time. I just don't see that happening within 2 yrs. The inventory isn't on the market now for them to buy and it usually takes a bit longer then 2 yrs before they fold . What are you seeing at work? What are you seeing at work? inventory is lacking keeping prices up, great time to dump a crappy house. i would agree that housing is part of many recessions(particularly 90/91 and 08/09) although the one in 00-01 coming out of the .com boom was not really housing base although it was shallower than any other decline as well. I would think the next one may fall more along those lines. We are seeing some indications that tech may be losing momentum and there are lot's of high valuations on companies that make no money similar to that time.
Platinum Contributing Member steve from amherst Posted July 30, 2018 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted July 30, 2018 True, I quess I incorrectly saw that as more of a correction then a recession , but it was a recession.
