Local police are now analyzing a grenade found near the Benton County Fairgrounds late last night.

Officers responded to a home in Kennewick for a report of a grenade, like the one pictured above.

Someone found it on the railroad tracks near the fairgrounds, and then brought the grenade home.

When officers inspected the grenade, they saw that it appeared to be complete and still had the pin inserted.

The Richland Bomb Squad responded and took possession of the grenade.

Police say if you find anything that appears to be an explosive device, do not touch it, just call the police.

No....he's not.  The one in the pic is a fragmentation.  I'd bet what they found was an inert one (dummy grenade).  Smokers look like cans.
