535 million to Solyndra is a terrible waste of taxpayers dollars.  You have a right to be pissed off.

Why aren't you more pissed off at this.

According to Oil Change International calculations and data from the Center for Responsive Politics, the oil and gas industry spent more than $247 million on congressional campaigns and lobbying during the last election cycle alone, while receiving roughly $35 billion in public finance and federal subsidies. That amounts to a 14,000% return on investment.

You left out the part that that money was over a 50 yr period. So I threw it in there for ya. Glad I could help ya out.

those people pay a per poll tax to get the power to there plant . that pay tax for fuel for every truck pay tax for every plate on every truck . they pay more for h20 more for property tax . with out business there would be no railroad no freeway no side road .

You really think the money a business pays for their plates, and fuel tax would cover the road systems we have? Besides, that isn't the point. We aren't talking about businesses that have been here forever. We are talking about someone who fires up a business in a place were all the infrastructure is already there. If you want to talk self made, look at someone in India or Africa.  Going into the poorest area and making a business work.

You have a link? Compare the green energy hand outs, tax cuts and grants to the oil industry.

The BP oil spill cost the taxpayer 10 billion alone. Not to mention the mess it made of the environment.

How bad was the latest solar spill?
