Man I hear ya. It's just unfortunate anyway it is looked at. But I don't feel like a lifetime of punishment (if one might call it that) is a good option either. I have little doubt that the young ladies that go through that will experience a memory that re-visits them in the form of a nightmare for the rest of their lives. But I cannot, in good judgment, stand on my pedestal and demand them to do what I feel is right. It's not my life. And in the sad end, those that are demanding it or convincing other to "follow through" are usually just continuing to tax a system that has been at a breaking point for years. There was a show on MTV (I think) called "Teen Moms" that my daughter and wife used to watch together. I confronted my wife about letting our daughter watch it and she told me it is scaring the shit out of her. My daughter asked her why would anybody put themselves in such a bad spot so early in life? Atta girl. It's all about making smart decisions. Sometimes, and unfortunately, that has to happen after a bad decision has been made.

Well, here's a twist for ya...why are most Conservos so against it? Sure, responsible choices are out there to help prevent it but some don't know that and the less intellectual don't even care. IMO, the only ones getting them are mostly smart enough to see the wrong they've done and are going to take care of it and not cripple themselves prematurely in life....along with the child. The ones that "stick it out" well....admirable I guess to own up to it if you are giving it up for adoption, but stupid if they think a mistake means a life long sentence. IMO....it's not the whiteys that are needing the "hanger treatment" so much as the ignorant negro population. I see both sides of the argument, and can agree a bit with both. But just a bit. I say the person trying to make the hardest decision and the one with the most to lose (or gain) get's to make the decision. PERIOD! And "pro choice" advocates aren't the ones voting for the Dems for that reason....they have a whole different reason. It just ties into it.

I have started to work another avenue with my daughter who is now 16. I am letting her know and helping her with ideas that don't necessarily go the college route. My wife is horrified that I am doing it but she understands it too. I am absolutely appalled at what the American education system is, and has been doing to us. And we've not only been playing along but actually allowing them to get to where they are now. Holy shit.

Yeah, I caught this story yesterday. IMO, colleges have become just as corrupt as any business givin the ability to dupe the citizens. They are pumping out hundreds of thousands of kids every year whose parents were taught to believe a good education was the key to success. Well, half truths and lies. First, these kids really aren't getting a "good education" anymore. They are just another check in the credit column that drives the cog. And second, like stated a few posts up, if you have no drive (lazy fuck) that degree may only get you to the interview table and a good bluff there may get you in the door. But after that....days are numbered. My degrees sit in the "easy and most common" column: Business. Did they help me? Maybe...probably...hell....maybe not, I don't really know. I was a C student who changed classes based on how much my attendance may have been required. Oh..because I worked full time too. Why did I make good money? Drive baby! My fucking paper degrees are in a zerox box with the rest of my "love me wall" starter kit. Hate to sound like one of the "old guys"...bit these kids today are kinda fucked. And it's our fault for whispering into their dreams that with a good education, the sky is the limit! And pinning a medal on every one of them for just showing up. Sorry kids....but you may just be fucked.

Man, I gotta tell you guys...I'm not sure where or when you guys stopped frequenting HCS but our GDF is among the best shits and giggles I've ever seen. And it mostly centers around brand bashing. And while the name calling over here is a bit more frequent and "in your face" than there, I don't see a whole lot of difference. And you gotta know...the rules over there sometimes require creativity to stay in the gray area. But...the name calling thing over here is funny as shit too.
