  1. Agreed. Such a itty-bitty, tiny number of murders are done with any "assault" type weapon anyway. And the ones blowing $1000 bucks on permits and $4-5k on the weapons are not the ones doing the "perpetrating".
  2. We pretty much can be. But it all cost money...a lot of money. And the permits for class 3 weaponry aren't cheap either.
  3. Well, you just took a better number from a different source. Either way, it's all just number play with statistics. You can add or take away the small subsection in each "survey" that drastically changes the numbers. Hillary is deemed untrustworthy and Don is seen as an arrogant ass. This should be a god damn movie! "Hil-liar and Don-ass" presents the critically acclaimed comedy- drama-tragedy to the world: "OUR AMERICA!"
  4. I think the "billionaire tycoons" are certainly successful and from a business standpoint would be better for America from a job creation standpoint. But I still doubt their political ability. They may be "winners" in the business world from a monetary points system, and certainly no idiots on how to create it. But political office isn't always about winning, it's about policy and compromise to try and get the best for the American people and see both perspectives. Again, not sure a billionaire couldn't learn this, but I think board room negotiation tactics may fall flat when powers fall equal (congress and senate). Either way, IMO, our supposed options are both flops. VP selection and administration choices will run this country for both. I don't see trump being all that interested in running the country, and Hillary cannot. And neither can be the leaders we need right now. Fucked.
  5. And only 10% worse than Hillary. Couple of real winners to chose from. Jesus Christ.
  6. The Republicans have been riding their "religious wave" toward the rocks for years. And their stand off with common sense is what has put the Dems on top. Now, the Dems are no better, they've set an agenda that set Trump as THE figurehead metaphor for Americans who have had about enough of the boisterous minority bullshit fed into their living rooms for years. Again, whoever takes this election has some tough work to minimize our divide as a nation. I think we are about as divided as we are gonna get before this starts to become real nasty. And a tipping point could very well be during an anti-trump rally where shinanigans seem to be going overlooked on purpose.
  7. I know! Hell, if that situation arises where "Joe" is having to "make a draw", one of us onlookers should take him out first and save countless innocent lives. Hell, there's a good chance he won't be able to remember how the safety works anyways...then when he does get un-fucked, he'll probably just fire one up into his chin. Maybe we should all just take some cover and watch.
  8. Remember when it was laughed at on the track when it first showed under Blair? "Concept", "gimmick", "passing fad".......
  9. AGREED. But that list needs to be overseen carefully and cautiously. "Lists" can be a slippery slope.
  10. Honestly, I really truly believe these are the types of people getting these permits. Not all, but A LOT. They are on these forums like the rest of the NRA pro-bangers bragging up their guns and ammo stashes for "the big day". If they'd just shut the fuck up about it...it wouldn't be such a hot button. Although, I can appreciate my "neighbor(s)" showing off his arsenal and where it all is kept so, if that time ever comes, I can go "plink" him off so I don't accidentally take one in the back, then, get his supplies. He's not gonna be any type of asset he thinks he'll be anyway. We'll call his early demise a contribution to the team posthumously.
  11. I commented on this subject a tad last night. All that permit really does is register you with the government and puts you on "the list". I almost never carry but when I do feel it may be better to have (Craigslist buy/sells, road trips, etc). It is loaded, one in the chamber and readily accessible. And that, as they say, IS THAT! I don't give a fuck about "permits" or laws stating I can't be ready to defend myself. The officers can get the other side of the story from the one that was trying to violate by life....and he's dead, so...I'll take my ticket and pay my fine and keep living. Thank you. Now, going back to my fear that watching the "regular joe" with his shiny new "pop-gun" and "smells like new car holster" getting out of his vehicle while that loaded and cocked piece is getting tied up, in his clothing, the seat belt and banging on the door frame. OFDA!
  12. Hey, no shame in that, I was 15 and took a job dish washing. In three months I was a fry cook! I moved up the ladder quick!
  13. My bad. So doubling my numbers makes my post...well, the same then.
  14. This is the type of shit that makes me wonder about all these complete nitwits getting carry permits. Honestly, I have a pretty strong mistrust in the average citizen carrying (or even holding) a fire arm in my presence. In fact, after one idiot showing off his new "toy" to me put a round through his closet floor and into his kitchen where my wife and his were talking over a glass of wine, somebody brandishing a weapon for "show and tell" no longer happens until I've cleared it properly. Just complete idiocy and lack of respect for a weapon. Hell, gun hunting season brings on all kinds of these idiot moves from "experienced" gun owners. How do you shoot yourself in a deer stand? By yourself? How can you not identify a target well enough before you decide it's worth the shot? WHAT?!?! And then heading back to camp where the booze breaks out and all the shit talking stories will start going back to when everyone was serving in Special Forces when, inexplicably, somebody takes one in the chest while gun cleaning "happy time" happens. Good Grief, Charlie Brown! These are the gun owners that scare me. Not the terrorists, not the mass killers..they at least probably did some training to carry out their little deeds and respect the end of the weapon. Remember that old saying about "if somebody mentions church, watch your wallet"? Well, see that NRA sticker?....watch your back! A round could be sent down range in any direction, at anytime! Ooops. Oh, and notice the picture taken from the gun shop door. Is it any wonder the AR is the Libs favorite calling card? It's thrown in their face all day long. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. C'mon folks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CBS/AP June 19, 2016, 12:34 PM AMELIA, Ohio -- A gun store owner was killed during a concealed carry class at his store Saturday afternoon, according to the Clermont County Sheriff's Office. County officials called the death accidental. A participant in a class at KayJay Gun Shop shot 64-year-old James E. Baker in the neck at the 12:44 p.m., according to Sheriff A.J. Rodenberg. The class consisted of about 10 students at the shop on Lindale Mt. Holly Road, deputies said. Deputies initially called Aircare to the shop, but Baker was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:12 p.m.
  15. AND THERE IT IS! BING FUCKING O! See we do agree on things. Nothing funnier than somebody bragging up and shit talking an OEM's, $500,000 race car because they own their $24,000 truck. And the next time this thread tuns into a truck drag racing thread I'm going to lobby to have it shut down. Jesus, that type of shit makes Snowrider seem sorta intelligent. I mean not really...but you boys see my point.
  16. How did you get that I was somehow "jealous" of anything out of my post? I'm beginning to see why your posts are off topic, your comprehension sucks. And whatever side of the negotiating table you are on just tells me whoever you negotiate for is inept as picking negotiators. Good grief. Ahhhh...never mind, jobs are going to Mexico next year anyway. Enjoy your job negotiating what food item goes in the grocery bag first so as not to crush any of the customers other items. Or maybe you are a dish washing typ-o guy?
  17. What? Is this mad libs now? Better check with your union representative to ensure you are entitled to play.
  18. I think we are real close to a "civil unrest" as it stands now. Our two chosen political candidates represent nothing more than two sides of a nation's hatred for one another. Of course there are a few that actually may think these two can be great leaders (weirdos). That thread I started a couple of weeks ago defines one side (my side). That is just sick of the political pandering and false representation of the uneducated, unknowing, uncaring and disenfranchised population milking our resources for every penny they can muster up. And the other side, well, they are all for that.....the lazy, free (or cheap) ride who think we can all get along better if they just get everything they want. Whoever pulls this election out is gonna have their hands full, and it will not be easy to keep us from getting too restless. Hell, it may not even be possible. And really, as I've stated, maybe we are due for a good ol' fashioned dust up. I'm not sure what else we can do to start getting peoples heads right anymore. I'll crack as many as I can though.
  19. Well, personally, I find the gun carry permits little more than a government registry. And I won't have one. I'm already on that list, they aren't getting a current situation report from me every year. I almost never have a gun with me but when I feel I may need one, I carry one, it is fully loaded and there is one in the chamber and I can reach it in a quick way. And that is all there is to that. Period. As far as the laws to regulate where and when somebody is allowed to "conceal carry" after approved for a permit to do so, well, isn't that kinda stupid? Again, thanks for registering with us, but you cannot carry your gun around other people. Dumb. I do however understand some reasoning behind not having it in a drinking establishment. But, I think the owner/manager of that establishment, or really any business should have a permit to have a gun on the premises. And to expand it, I lived in a county years ago that had a law stating every homeowner must have a gun on the premises. Now it was an old law and clearly not enforceable, but guess what the crime rate was in that county? Yep.
  20. I always find it hilarious when the "talking heads" on the other side of the question have ZERO answer. Nothing, nada, speechless. Complete idiocy. Now, this is a slippery slope for sure but I think certain criteria can be put in place that can determine who is a legitimate threat. And personally, once the oversight has done the "due process" via "ex parte" (see, I read), well, they are on the list and some of their rights get suspended. Now, that should not be an indefinite suspension and they should know they are on it and should be able to appeal it. In other words, our wonderful government doesn't get to keep their own private "black list" while they infringe rights "willy nilly". BTW, we've been doing this in some form or fashion as long as we've been our own country, so, it's nothing new. Now, I understand the argument against that, and I certainly have a suspicious eye on our government. But they aren't all bad there and some are actually trying to do us all justice (but most are not the career politicians). And again, like mentioned, if your not doing anything wrong, well, you've got nothing to worry about. AND AS LONG AS CITIZENS CAN CONTNUE TO STAY ARMED, I BELIEVE THE GOVERNMENT WILL BE FORCED TO STAY IN CHECK. That doesn't mean every citizen gets to be armed though. On the list? No soup for you! Again, those rights have been and can continue to be taken away through due process. By the way, it sure sounds like this last little gay bar incident happened because our government didn't want to step over the line and risk a political government racial accusation. So well done there.
