My issue with people like Slinger and Snowrider
XC.Morrison replied to jtssrx's topic in Current Events
Here's a real stumper. Assuming zero slippage between my track and the ground - with a perfectly calibrated speedometer reading 100 mph, is it possible that my snowmobile is actually stationary and that the earth is just being spun in the opposite direction at 100 mph? Keep in mind I have "220" cylinders -
Your 24VAC common wire may already be there, but just not landed on either end. I installed a touchscreen Honeywell and like it so far. It's wifi and there's a smartphone app. It doesn't auto learn your schedules like the nest supposedly does, but I don't really buy into that, seems gimmicky but maybe I'm wrong. Only takes a few minutes to setup your own schedules anyway.

I like what I see from Elizabeth Warren. Try not to laugh too hard, I'd hate for you to douse your drawers On the republican side I like John Kasich.

5 Ways Powerful People Make You Hate Protestors
XC.Morrison replied to motonoggin's topic in Current Events
You're listening to the Limbaugh show today too huh. Yeah, according to Rush, they'll pay you to join up with ANTIFA. He says there'll be ads on Craigslist. Anyone know if it's like a flat rate per protest or if it's an hourly thing? Do they offer workers comp to cover any injuries? Is this how Trump got the unemployment rate so low? -
Yeah, that'll do

Where's @Zambroski to tell us this is nothing new and that Challengers have been a disaster since 1986? I had this all set up for ya!
-
Nice Jeep! Holy crap, this Hellcat was wrecked with just 18 miles on the clock - 20th Challenger this salvage company has bought up.
-
Nobody killed, but I'm starting to wonder if there's something wrong Challenger owners in general: Challenger crash

A. You've got to judge these figures in a historical context. Even Lincoln wouldn't be 100% acceptable if judged by today's context. B. He evolved and grew as a person, but I can't really expect that fried calamari you call a brain to grasp that.

There's only evidence that he owned one slave named William Jones, whom he freed instead of selling at a time when he desperately needed money. When the war broke out, he chose the right side. Lee had the option to fight for the north, but chose wrongly. As President he and his DOJ prosecuted the KKK. I think people will be okay with Grant.
-
My wife actually had an idea last night that might satisfy both sides. Next to every treasonous Lee statue, erect a larger Grant statue with one leg extended towards Lee. This would preserve the existing history while adding additional history by showcasing whose butt got kicked. What say y'all?

Preface: I'm not a computer IT wizard. Seems their whole premise is based on the file transfer speed. Which files metadata are they looking at? The copy that was given to Assange? If I download a file to my computer, the file in My Downloads will have metadata that reflects that transfer rate. Then if I transfer that file onto a flash drive, the new file will have new metadata that reflects that transfer speed. At least that's how I understand it as a layperson.

Sounds like F7Ben has been drinking too much Cult 45. -
You do realize that the parties switched places in regards to civil rights sometime around 1968 right? When republicans came up with their southern strategy and Dixiecrats like Jesse Helms switched teams. I'm guessing this isn't all that you don't realize. Our education system certainly "left one behind" when it came to you.

The white supremacists had no intention of a peaceful demonstration. The leaders of groups like that are not dumb, they know exactly what they're doing. They used the false pretense of preserving the display location of a statue to get permits. They then started off the weekend by unlawfully marching through the University campus. They were trolling, baiting, trying to trigger some snowflakes. You can argue they shouldn't have taken the bait, but make no mistake - this was the primary objective of the white nationalist groups. These Nazis showed up on Saturday with weapons, shields, and helmets. They were itching for a fight. I believe it was around 10am I heard that their permits were revoked, making any further demonstration unlawful. if their objective was to save the statue by presenting the case that it is not a symbol of hate and that there are so many nuanced reasons why the south seceded, they failed horribly.
