  1. Aren’t you the guy that fingers your butthole to get a nut? I think you should be the last to talk about anything up the ass.
  2. In Texas Coal is dying as the deep red state transitions to a cheap power source. And the amount of new generation coming on this year in that state is crazy. https://ieefa.org/resources/texas-marks-milestone-road-greener-grid-solar-tops-coal-march The transition in the past seven years has been nothing short of astounding. For all of 2017, solar generated just 0.6% of ERCOT’s demand, or 2.26 million MWh. In March 2024 alone, solar generation reached 3.26 million MWh, according to the Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) hourly grid monitor. The increase pushed solar’s share of ERCOT generation to more than 10% for the month, also a first. While solar has been climbing steadily (see the graphic below), there has been a notable pickup lately. Generation in March 2024 was 1.17 million MWh more than a year ago, a 56% increase, and the growth will continue. ERCOT data shows that the system currently has 22,710 megawatts (MW) of operational solar capacity but is expected to expand by almost one-third by the end of the year as another 7,168 MW of capacity is added.
  3. The sheer volume of corporate profits and how busy everything from airports, to highways to restaurants, to the amount of Amazon delivery vehicles on the roads, etc etc it looks like the economy is zinging along nicely. Much better then the pandemic economy of a few years ago.
  4. Utilities love EV’s. They make money from selling electricity. There is probably very few Utilities in the US that don’t have individual and business rebates for installing home or business charging equipment as well even California utilities have special EV rates that are typically cheaper then the normal rate. Other then a few hours a couple days a year, varies by region, the utility grid has excess capacity that Utilities would love to be able to sell more electricity then they are
  5. Lots of utilities are giving incentives for home vehicle charging installs and many have a cheap EV rate for EV charging.
  6. Damn. Poor girl. Likely plead for her life with her dad and he lets her out just to be dispatched by our hero’s in uniform. Policing is definitely over due for some massive reform in this country.
  7. This will likely upset some people but….. Business set to save $3.5 billion annually from the finalized EPA rules for heavy duty vehicles. “Businesses save money on costs (approx. $3.5b annually, between $3-10k per vehicle depending on type), health and environmental savings benefit everybody” https://electrek.co/2024/03/29/epa-finalizes-strongest-ever-truck-rule-to-save-billions-in-health-fuel-costs/
  8. China peak refined liquids demand set to start declining in 2027 due to electrification which also plays a major role as well in decline profits for refiners https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/Over-20-of-the-Worlds-Oil-Refining-Capacity-Is-at-Risk-of-Closure.html
  9. Fox News said they had 3 minutes from mayday call to collision. Doesn’t appear the crew in charge of the boat dropped anchor until the last minute according to report. Which makes sense as the last little bit the ship made a sharp turn by the videos…. Wonder if that sharp turn was the anchor pulling the nose of the ship around.
  10. In the US it is pretty much unlimited as electricity is everywhere. Under 2 days to cross the entire us from coast to coast in total
  11. Supposedly the port puts its own drivers in the boats for these trips. Likely Port will be paying which will have some sweet government funding to get it done.
  12. Naming the new bridge should be a contentious debate. Doubt they want to name it the same as it was which was after a former slave owner
  13. Many don’t understand how globally traded commodities and private companies work. We are making do much oil now that we can use it all and are export 1.5 billion barrels a year from the US shores and that number will easily increase. If we make more then we need in the US prices should be way down if presidents of the US have control over oil. Oil is 100% controlled by private and for profit companies.
  14. Ya business have had 2 Robinhoods of presidents…. Steal from the poor and give to the rich.
  15. Us oil production is significantly better under Biden.
  16. Presidents have little to no affect on oil prices as they aren’t government controlled entities in the US. Definetly no shortage of new drilling in US currently and in the past few years
  17. Almost 1.5 billion Barrels of oil exported from US last year. Very impressive what the oil companies have been able to accomplish over the last few years. Record profits, record exports, record amount of drilling activity and etc etc
  18. Sending our finite energy supply abroad at a record pace. Fossil fuel companies always have American’s best interest in mind with their decisions. We must not be able to use all they harvest domestically. https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/US-Oil-Exports-Hit-a-New-Record-High-in-2023.html
  19. Climate change is driving people North. They say the Rust Belt is going to get an influx of climate refugees cause of all the uninhabited land and fresh water. https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2024/03/climate-migration-rust-belt-economy/677856/
  20. It’s going to take a Giuliani to make NYC great again
  21. Price locked for early adopters and a $7500 tax credit. Now would be much more. If I was buying to replace the model 3 today I would be in a model S plaid which comes in at around $88 per hp and will get into the 9’s on 1320 ft
  22. Spent about $86.22 per hp power for the last new mid 11 second in 1320ft suv I bought.
  23. Trump proof I guess…… automakers aren’t going to really jump in masses to Trump rolling back regs. Stellantis—the automaker behind Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram—agreed to complywith a California policy requiring two-thirds of new cars to be zero-emission or electric by 2030, potentially insulating the strict rule from challenges if former President Donald Trump returns to office and reprises his efforts to reverse California emissions standards. https://www.forbes.com/sites/antoniopequenoiv/2024/03/19/chrysler-parent-stellantis-will-follow-californias-strict-ev-rule-even-if-trump-reverses-it/amp/
  24. Great news for American oil companies profits. Refined products and oil are going to get even more expensive. US drones are blowing the shit out of Russian refineries which is going to cause a massive need on traded refined products globally which will make US refiners pretty dang happy.
