  1. I never got the WHO. Bubba O'Rielly was about it for me. That whole Mod scene with the scooters was gay.
  2. 90’s last weekend, mid 60’s this weekend. Much nicer. Getting some yard work done, burning the remains of a retaining wall and fence we replaced last week. Bean field is just now starting to turn. Seems late.
  3. Same here, this is my second time. He's been terrible this year. Last year he got a win and was getting some results, hoovering around 10th place. But he's way back in 29th this season. I thought Busch would elevate that entire team but not so. Eric Jones is another one. I haven't picked him once. He's in 27th. Last year he got a win and was 18th at the end. I'm hoping he's got one descent finish in him but I'm sure by half way he'll be sucking it around 25th....lol
  4. I'm split between Spectrum and Willie's Roadhouse. Hated Contry as a kid cause my parents played it all the time. Now as I get older it just brings back old memories. Amazing how I know the lyrics to most of them. So many of these old guys are gone now.
  5. I did St. Louis ribs on Sunday and massacred $80 worth of meat. Turned them to charcoal. Tasty charcoal but still charcoal.
  6. True. I would also include Genesis and to a certain extent Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. It depends on where the talent lies. Obviously, Eddie went a lot farther with Sammy than Dave did solo. As for Ac/Dc, I never heard of them until Black in Black. I heard the Bon Scott stuff later on so it does care the same impact with me. I like a few of Bob’s songs. I watched biography on him recently. It was interesting but it sounds like he was doomed to end up the way he did one way or another. He was a mad man.
  7. How many bands in history were a huge success then changed the lead singer and remained at the top? Its pretty amazing what Van Halen was able to do and the credit goes to Eddie. He was able to adapt from Roth's lyrics to Hagar's. And he changed with the music trends of the time bringing in keyboards. Eddie was a musically genius.
  8. There are alcoholics that can't make it through the day without a drink. I had an employee (and he was a friend) who drove his own vehicle to job sites just so that he could leave when he needed to. He was often useless after 2pm if he didn't get a drink because the shakes would set in. One day he left a job at 230 and went home. One of my trucks broke down near his house around 4pm so I asked if he could pick up my employee. Can't, I'm too drunk....It was a Tuesday....lol My buddy worked for the local township driving plow truck for the winter. They found a bottle hidden under one of the drivers seats and let the guy go. There was school bus driver in Toronto last year who was charged with impaired at 8:45am. No kids on the bus at least.
  9. Government jobs here in Canada seem to be leaning towards a 40 hour week but over 4 days instead of 5. A couple of the townships around here have gone to this arrangement claiming it gives the employee more personal time and work performance is better. Many of these employees also get to work from home 1 or 2 days per week.
  10. I pay 4% vacation pay to my employees every week. Being seasonal work, most employees don't take much time off. They also get paid for stat holidays. Its been that way at all the business I've worked at in the swimming pool industry. My son just started a new job and they gave him 4 weeks paid vacation to start. He can also take a 5th week unpaid if he wants. Nice deal. In Canada, paid vacation is set by the province or territory. In all provinces, its 10 days minimum plus stat holidays. This what Wiki says for the United States. There is no federal or state statutory minimum paid vacation or paid public holidays. Paid leave is at the discretion of the employers to their employees.[192][193] According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, 77% of private employers offer paid vacation to their employees; full-time employees earn on average 10 vacation days after one year of service.[194] Similarly, 77% of private employers give their employees paid time off during public holidays, on average 8 holidays per year.[194][195] Some employers offer no vacation at all.[196] The average number of paid vacation days offered by private employers is 10 days after 1 year of service, 14 days after 5 years, 17 days after 10 years, and 20 days after 20 years.[194][197]
